Hasmy's barbeque is one of the best i've tasted. They have the full range from chicken tikka to kebabs and mishkaki. Their prices are very reasonable too. I've been there twice with my wife and we both immensely enjoyed their chicken tikka and masala chips. All their dishes are served with salad/kachumbari. Their service is also quite fast, definitely a plus point for the restaurant.

This was one place to be for a good dinner. Amongst the few places with a seaside view. Everything was good from parking facility to good quick service and top quality food with a reasonable price. The prawns masalas, whole fish and paneer roll was a must on my list here But sadly of late it's on a downward trend it now feels 'ok-ish' with food quality and price on the higher side But still it can come back to its former glory days

Maasai Bars and Restaurants is known for its mouth watering nyama choma and african cuisine.we also have a bar at the beach which prides itself as a house of sea food.wide variety of drinks are sold in the bar.
My family of 5 had dinner here in late July 2019. Itâs an attractive upscale dinner location - outside dining, 70s/80âs disco music, pool tables. The food is quite good and inexpensive ($6-12) per main. We ordered 4 dishes and had leftovers. But the service was terrible. We had more than a 1 hour wait after we ordered. The waitress brought silverware for 2 with the food. She had to be asked twice for plates. The number of requests spurred a visit from the manager, who wanted to make sure we liked the food and didnât appear concerned about the service issues. And although she packed the leftovers up nicely, when I gave the waitress 4000 for the 3850 bill, she went to get change and didnât return for 10 minutes, so I left. Bottom line: be patient, and hope for better service.
They thrive on reputation ONLY! no wow effect! We thought we give them a try...well nothing interesting, average good service, staff just donât smile but are hardworking, however they seem to be under immense pressure from management to perform. Meals are nothing to write about...wouldnât visit this joint again

Grill House is a new restaurant and lounge in Nyali (Ratna Square). Enjoy great food and an extensive and varied range of cocktails, wines, spirits & whiskys - all in a comfortable, modern ambiance!
We live near Grill House and have visited several times. I was hoping the poor quality of the food was just limited to certain items, but sadly, it's everything. It seems like a Westerner set up this restaurant, not a local. It is very clean and comfortable, has AC, great music, and a fantastic menu. But their cooks are terrible. I once ordered poussin chicken and it was so overcooked it was as hard as a rock, really inedible. Another time I ordered a "philly cheesesteak," which came on regular sandwich bread instead of a traditional roll. The meat was stringy from silverskin which had not been removed - again inedible. We also have tried their desserts, only to be disappointed every time. Their cake was so dry it was inedible. Their ice cream is disgusting. It's really too bad, because if they could find a capable cook then this would be a good restaurant.
If you want to experience some real and hearty bbq food, this is definitely the place. A midrange restaurant in mombasa town with indoor and outdoor seating. The Beef skewers or what are locally known as Mishkaki are our family favourite as they are juicy, tender and full of flavour. The bbq chicken as well was well cooked and a joy. The grilled fish was fresh and grilled just right without drying up or staying mushy. Their Masala Chips is the best i have had all over Mombasa town as it was not spicy, had the masala flavour and the nice crisp from the outside and soft from the inside. I also tried their keema tandoori (mkate wa nyama). A hearty filling of minced meat wrapped within a thin tortilla like bread held together with egg. Yum! The place really gets busy during the weekend so being there early is always recommended. Otherwise you may have to wait a little for a table. The outdoor seating is lovely when the weather is good.
Like many places in Kenya the food is amazing. This is really close to the river and you can go enjoy water sports or just watch people have fun.It is a little hard to get to but it is totally worth it.

This gem of a place is tucked away in the Kizingo residential area of Mombasa and is quite easy to miss if you do not know the area. The barbeque food is nice and could not fault the quality. The owner takes a great pride in his establishment and supervises the prompt service. Food is similar to Hashmi's in town but prices are fairer. Paneer tikka and fish are a must to try and so are the juices. Plenty of veggy options as well and they will make food to suit your chilli taste. Suitable for families as well. No alcohol is served here due to religious reasons.
