A friendly, privately-owned and run hotel on the edge of the Charnwood Forest between the M1 and M42; an ideal position for visiting Donnington Park and the National Exhibition Centre.
Ended up staying here after being let down at 11am on the morning of my booking by another hotel. Was checked in by a very friendly lady called Karen who made us feel very welcome. Room was clean and tidy, with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay here for a family party, the rooms are clean, and the young lady behind the bar couldn't have been more helpful. It's a ten from Len. Really loved the fact that you can have a beer at the bar with such a friendly atmosphere

The Victoria is ideally suited to contractors working in the area or small groups of people, as each room has 6 beds, its basic with shared toilet and bathroom clean and tidy, and let out as single, double or family rooms. We are very much a live music venue and quite famous around the world in biker circles, but people from all walks of life visit us and enjoy the somewhat unique environment.
This was my 3rd visit down to the vic since august last year . Again I visited for a day of catching up with friends and live music. If you like a night or day out with a nice friendly attitude towards life this is the place to come. John the landlord is just a nice guy and his bar staff are the best I have met anywhere. The music is both indoor and outdoor and the atmosphere is first class. I have not used the rooms yet as the one I had booked for earlier in the year ended up not happening due to covid . I have camped a few times now and for a few quid each to pitch up its a cheap way to go to see live music . this place is a gem of a venue and I cannot recommend it enough

I was greeted in the car park by a man stood naked in the window shouting “can I help you?” , who I believe was the manager and must have just had a bath. I told him I couldn’t hear him because of the road behind me and he got very frustrated but carried on asking what I wanted. I then went to the side door and he was not friendly at all, I did go to the wrong address, I said Thankyou and sorry and he stared at me without saying a word and I just walked away. Wouldn’t ever like to stay there

A hovel masquerading as a hotel. The proprieters are nothing short of rude and disinterested, the building is run down, the garden is a state. The food was okay but overpriced. Do not waste your money. Oh and they helped themselves to money from my account before I even arrived - without my consent. It took several weeks to claw this money back.
