Experience true western hospitality at The Harris Ranch Inn & Restaurant, where you can choose from several different dining experiences, each featuring its own distinct style. Whether you're looking for an evening of intimate elegance or the perfect dining setting for you and your family, you're sure to find what you're looking for!
We went to the Harris Ranch Restaurant in Coalinga for lunch at I-5 and Hwy 198 in California near Santa Nella. This is a huge ranch of major importance in the area. Though we saw no cows near the Restaurant it is claimed that there are 100,000 head of cattle - major ranch and very famous for its beef. Our meal was an incredible experience. I had a 10oz rib roast and in was PERFECT!! the meal was a real experience. ALL the meals that I saw were something that goes beyond. You must try it!!
There are 3 separate eating areas - Family area-Adults area-and then the bar area. All serve the same menu. You must try this place - you will remember it!!

Coalinga Starbuck's is the best Starbuck's I know of and I've visited a lot. Traditionally it seems that Starbuck's does not value having a clean bathroom, but Coalinga's has been clean every time I've used it. The staff is friendly and professional and the drinks are always good.

We have eaten at our local Me-N-Ed's twice in the last three months. The first time, we waited 45 minutes for our pizza and calzones to be served. The second time the pizza was almost burned but had been put in a warmer and forgotten about until we asked the server for our missing pizza. This restaurant can do so much better.

If you're driving along I-5 and feeling hungry for more than just fast food this is your stop. The tri-tip sandwich was great and you have a choice of BBQ sauce (spicy was perfect). I did not try any of the side dishes. There was not really any line so it was actually a pretty quick stop. Bathrooms are clean also.

So you're staying in a motel on I-5 and need to eat. Most people go to Harris Ranch and spend a fortune; however, if you're willing to drive a few miles this place is well worth the time. Food is excellent, servings are huge, service is friendly and efficient. Okay, the atmosphere is a little lacking but SO WHAT? Get gas in town.....way cheaper than out on the highway.

Open 24/7 to cater to the crews that work around the clock out in the oil fields, this little mexican taco shop is awesome. I had the carne asada tacos with everything/flour tortillas and they were fantastic. Highly recommend. Good price too.

Had lunch here while visiting family. Sweet and sour pork was very flavorful and not greasy. Pork fried rice was excellent as well. Orange chicken is a regular for family living in Coalinga. Friendly and prompt staff. Really good lunch!

A year ago, this was our go to spot when we were in the mood for Chinese food. We recently stopped for lunch, and there were some glaring differences. The restaurant is under new management, we were not greeted or seated by the service staff. When they did approach our table, it was rushed and we seemed to be bothering the woman. The Crab Puff appetizer was still great; however, we had to ask for appetizer plates and silverware. When our menu selections were served, every dish was covered in red pepper flakes and not up to the usual standard. I had to ask that our previously used dishes be cleared from the table and for refills on our tea. No good.

Just a short walk from the college, delicious food but a bit pricey, especially on a student's budget. Definitely worth the splurge every now and again out with friends, and a total treat during midterms and finals! Cute inside to dine, or open space outside to get your grub on.

If you are on I-5 traveling and get hungry somewhere between the Bay Area and Bakersfield (and you will,) then detour and drive out to Coalinga. It is several miles into this small town, but the food here is family cooked and served, and the price is hard to beat. $11 for large two-item combo plates, and $7 or so for a smaller one-item plate with rice and beans. They have horchatas and beer if you are ready to switch drivers. It's a nice family feel place with the kids watching the Disney channel while the grownups work. Of course, chips and mild salsa first!
The menu has about everything you would expect. Enchiladas, tacos, burritos, sopes, fajitas, chimichangas, rellenos, Chile verde, colorado, etc. Not too spicy and zesty.
