This is one of those places that you must visit. Inside dining with some of the most delicious sandwiches and soups you can eat. And they remember your name. It is like walking into cheers with over the top food. I would pay a ferry fee to enjoy this food......!
Charming restaurant with wonderful food on South Whidbey Island. They make the best sandwiches and I always take my guest in for lunch.

a typical Dairy Queen. Nothing wrong with it, nothing great. If you want a fairly quick and really tasty burger, keep driving north to the Freeland Shell Station. Best burger on the island.

Authentically Field to Fork; we promise. We showcase the connections between food, farming, history & the Art of the Table. Located on our 5 acre farm just outside Langley, Washington on Whidbey Island. We host dinners with one menu & one seating at 7:00pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. We have limited availability. Reservations are a must. We also host cooking classes, with an hour and 1/2 of instruction and then we all sit down for lunch. Classes start at 10:30am and go until 1:30pm.
We enjoyed every aspect of our dinner at Orchard Kitchen. The family and staff are warm, professional and attentive, the food is delicious and made with quality ingredients, skill and love. The wine pairings were tasty and interesting. I'm generally ambivalent about communal seating, but it worked fine for our small group in this convivial setting.

The barista's at Southern Cross in both Clinton and Freeland are worth the visit even if they didn't have the BEST CHAI ANYWHERE! Anytime we travel, what I miss most after my dog is Southern Cross Chai Teas! Only at Southern Cross Espresso and Southern Cross Espresso Too.
Don't forget to tip your barista!!

The Bagel Factory makes gourmet, NY style bagels (boiled) served in a variety of interesting ways including custom sandwiches, both lunch & breakfast. You can also find a range of quality, made from scratch desserts made by CJ&Y Decadent Desserts (formerly jwdesserts). Chances are high that you will be able to watch bagels being made, and maybe partake in catching a few!!
The hardest part about eating here is to make a selection: of 15 savory or 9 sweet bagels! We enjoyed our chicken salad bagels for lunch, and also took some home. Very entertaining signs and a menu board. Yes, they'll make a decaf americano for you. Good coffee and friendly help. I'm sure it's nice to sit outside on a sunny and warm day to people watch!

A sunny late summer evening with wife. Had been travelling around Whidbey and it was time to go home. Decor and atmosphere is definitely "roadhouse". Noisy, but not exceptionally so.
Service was spotty, due mainly to kitchen/server miscommunication. I think if you are a local you get taken care well, but those travellers amongst us were left waiting.
Pizza, when it came, was OK. On balance it was OK, and it certainly serves a need, but do expect some delays.

Gordon has his hand on every plate. They're always well prepared, delicious and served with a flair only the island delivers. Gordon's delivers what Seattle does without being snooty or pretentious. Great value, as prices are the same as Prima Bistro in Langley and other "better" island restaurants. However, I think Gordon's over delivers.

Stopped at Patron after a nice ferry ride. Service was good. Kept our giant glasses full of water. Free chips and salsa and beans (why would i even order food!?)
Food was great. Rice was especially tasty. Wife had the molcahete, i had the enchiladas. Well plated.
Not too many options in the area. Bitnthis was a good one.

Friendly service and delicious (not super sweet) special hot chocolate (made with 70% cocoa chocolate). The fudge samples were delicious. This is a chocolate shop with a nice cafe.

We LOVE coming here for a bite. Always satisfying, fresh ingredients, handled with care. Whether I'm in the mood for Ramen or Cavatapi, or Dungeness Mac-n-Cheese, I know I'll always leave smiling. Thanks NOSH for keeping food in my belly and warmth in my heart :) Outside patio looks inviting for a cold brew and sunshine. How could you pass this on the way up the hill ?
