We offer folks a place to stop in off the Swamp Rabbit Trail, visit with old friends, have a bite to eat, and enjoy an old-fashioned sense of community. The sisters also invite you to browse through the gift shop that features unique food items and other products made right here in South Carolina.
We did not know what to expect and found it to be ok. Lots of locals. Food and service was ok. Everyone should try it and decide for themselves.

Went here with some great friends this afternoon while out exploring Table Rock SP. It was such a wonderful surprise! Great wine tasting and a really tasty lunch at the foothills of the mountains and in the shadow of Table Rock. Resident dogs Lola and Gunner were so sweet and added to the fun! Definitely will be back soon!

We have visited many times now, and enjoyed it each time. The Pulled Pork Tacos (Carnita), Chicken Fajitas, Grilled Steak and Cheese, Chicken Quesadillas, Frijoles, and Green Chile Salsa are excellent! If you are adventurous, ask for the Spanish menu. They also have a Mexican grocery store.

If you are in (or anywhere near) Travelers Rest, make it a point to stop at Tandem Creperie & Coffee House! We stopped for a later breakfast and everything we tried was absolutely delicious!! Savory or sweet - either way, you won't be disappointed. Staff was very friendly and gracious and the coffees were excellent as well. (The honey lavender latte is especially good.) Tandem, you made our morning!

Comfort meets classy & nutritious meets delicious at Cedar Mountain Cafe. At Cedar Mountain Cafe we love breakfast, but hate how breakfast foods are notoriously laden with low quality meats and questionable additives. That's why we focus on serving hormone, antibiotic, nitrate and preservative free meats that are sustainably raised - and as local as possible. We accompany farm fresh meats with seasonal vegetables, house-made dressings, sodas, sauces and soups made using nutritious, natural, simple ingredients. We serve real food made from ingredients you don't need a dictionary to pronounce.
We walked in the door to find tables full and many folks waiting. For this first timer was a good sign. Our party of 8 put our name on the list. Get this we were offered a cup of coffee while we waited! That has never happened before. It was so nice. We waited only about 15 min for our table. We had time to peruse the menu while we waited making ordering a snap. I learned from the web site, and I suggest you check it out as it's so well done, that it's very important to the owners to use locally grown food. Everything on the menu is made fresh. This supports the local economy. Our meals were very very good and presented nicely. The potatoes we extra especially good. Friendly waitress and efficient. Thank you Lucia Gerdes and your staff who hustled their Brussels this morning!

We were camping just up the road, so we went off to explore the area.. Stopped in a little artsy shop and someone told us to stop at Mountain House for lunch. GREAT suggestion! We had their California BLT, chips and a drink. Someone complained about the price. Well, we also live in the Brevard area, and just about every place to dine out is a tad overpriced, but...it's a tourist town. Even the grocery store prices are "higher than they are back home" Well, It just is what it is... It's a Mom & Pop place to stop while you're riding your Harley, after a hike, or just out for an "old fashion ride" like our parents used to take us on. Sit out on the porch and talk with the people you came with because there is NO cell service in the area so...you'll have to make conversation...like in the old days... Grab an ice cream cone too...they're HUGE!! Enjoy your day in the Mountains!!

Upcountry Provisions is open for breakfast and lunch Tuesday-Saturday. Their menu includes a selection of sandwiches on fresh baked breads and a case full of baked goods made fresh each day.
Whether one seeks a meal (the soups, frittatas and sandwiches are all great) or a treat (the cookies--especially that Diablo sandwich, with the whipped peanut butter--are amazing) it would be hard to go wrong here. And, in addition to having an imaginative kitchen and reasonable prices, the funky "as-cool-as-Asheville" vibe makes this place virtually one-of-a-kind. Visit soon; take one or five of those Diablo things home with you.

After walking swamp Rabbit Trail, we ate at Williams cafe then went next door for ice cream. It was great but I thought portions were a little small. Also, the ice cream was a little too soft. It was beginning to melt before I could...MoreThank you for the feedback! We do our best to keep the ice cream at perfect serving temp, but the SC humidity can make it hard at times. We appreciate all our service men & women!

Great little pizza spot @ original location in TR. Food is awesome with fresh ingredients and creative combinations. The only complaint I ever have is that they're so busy you have to wait to sit, and that's nothing that they could (or should) try to change! Even with the volume, the staff is fast, polite, and efficient. About 18 months ago, we lost a local officer. Sidewall created a special pizza in his honor, asked folks to pay whatever they could for it, and gave all proceeds to his family. Top notch!
...and if you want a recommendation, try the Bacon Bliss. I could probably eat two of them!

We were driving across to GA and stopped here after smelling the fantastic BBQ being cooked! The food was fantastic! I can't wait to cross the mountains and end up here again - the service was great and the food was some of the best BBQ I've ever eaten!
