Whether rocking out to music legends inside the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame or viewing Monets and Picassos at the Cleveland Museum of Art, Cleveland is a city that mixes equal parts grit and sophistication. Nosh award-winning food in historic buildings, tip back some craft beers amid a Lake Erie beach party or cheer on a championship team with a hardball of locally distilled spirits. All in Cleveland.

Sandwiches are smaller than at the real SlyMan's. Guess because this is in high rent district.
Corned beef is still good quality, but the experience is not there. It used to be a treat to get Slyman's.
Onion rings were greasy and hard to eat many of them. Potato pancakes were saturated in grease too.
No reason for us to go back.

It is worth getting there before the advertised opening time of 10am. There are no words to describe the HUGE amount of food that the regular gyro has. Adam Richman of Man vs Food did not do it justice--- maybe if his show offered 'smell o'vision' it might help but we went out of our way (two travel days) to have one because we had one before. It's the stuff dreams are made of.

We dined here on a Sunday night during downtown restaurant week to celebrate my birthday. It was absolutely wonderful. The 3 course prix fix menu gave excellent options and we also added the wine pairing for an additional $15, which proved to be an excellent value added. The salads were delicious. Hanger steak and frites were cooked to perfection and the flourless chocolate dessert was the most flavorful and beautiful I've ever had. This is a place that combines ambiance, food and service in top form.

Steeped in tradition and care EDWINS Restaurant offers seasonal, classic French cuisine in the midst of Cleveland's Shaker Square. The restaurant has a unique mission; to do good and eat well. <br>The charming bar and lounge are a welcoming spot for before and after dinner drinks.
Here with family and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and service was outstanding. The staff were very patient as we took a long time deciding what we wanted to eat. The restaurant was very busy and thus quite noisy, but it didn't get in the way of our enjoying the evening. The only downside was the temperature. It was very HOT in there and were peeling off the layers of clothing.

So... you're visiting Cleveland, but you're just not into downtown. You'd really like a more intimate spot, maybe with an outside patio, perhaps some comforting food. Here's your spot.... near the Case campus and University Circle, and not really that far from downtown (you can drive, or even take a bus to get there). Delicious, comforting French country cuisine, a nice wine list... and don't miss the cheese plate! Great coffee and port if you still have room!

Our concept at fire is a simple one: perfectly prepared food and drink at reasonable prices, in an exciting atmosphere. we create simple foods with innovative presentations using the best quality ingredients. we also provide friendly, efficient and professional service staff to make sure that all your needs are met. our menu is focused on classic american foods using the freshest ingredients. this means our menu changes seasonally. we offer a variety of meats and fish, prepared in our wood-fired ovens.
I booked Fire for some of the good reviews lately for our 20th wedding anniversary. The hostess was excited about it being our anniversary, but that's where it ended. We we seated at a 2 top table, tables are very close to each other. The waitress was good, attentive as needed. we wanted the mussels, but were hesitant wit the tomatoes, she said that they could make it traditional white wine and garlic - very good. I ordered the ribeye - medium and fries, the steak arrived RARE, the end was ok as I tried it, but that rare I could not eat it, I sent it back and asked about the fries that never came out with the entree, they were forgotten. The steak came back medium rare, and no red wine jus anymore, I just ate it. :-( The table next to us received a nice birthday desert, with Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the dish, what did we get for our 20th anniversary - nothing, not even thanks. Won't be back, many other restaurants at this price range that are better.

Had dinner here while visiting area and I have to say I was a little underwhelmed based on reviews. Food was good, ate at bar and service from Danny was excellent. But found pace of meal a little quick and food quality just good.

Been here many times. Seem to always be busy, I’d suggest not going right when they open due to there always being a crowd. The food is excellent and well worth the wait tho. Delicious home cooked meals. Check it out

Momocho serves award winning modern mexican cuisine / located in the historic ohio city neighborhood / dinner 6 nights a week + weekday happy hour from 5pm-630pm / seasonal outdoor patios / reservations accepted for parties of 6 or less / viva momocho!
Went here on a brutally, blustery early April weeknight. Trendy young crowd with food offering a Nuevo Central American influence. One photo you should pay attention to is the sumptuous tequila offerings...staggering!
I have to be honest that I am writing this 9 months after the fact so I'm trying to recall from menu and photos our menu. Suffice to say this was very authentic food served in a hip joint. I know we had one of the dizzying guac offers as well as skewered chicken and strip beef.
Although this was super good, I'm not a fan of raw onions which seemed unescapable and present in every landscape. Just ask the very kind and professional servers when in doubt. Cleveland has so many great food offerings, my opinion is that from a price point, you can do better unless you are hankering for some Latin inspired creations.
