Civitavecchia [ˌtʃivitaˈvɛkkja] is a town and comune of the Metropolitan City of Rome in the central Italian region of Lazio. A sea port on the Tyrrhenian Sea, it is located 80 kilometres (50 miles) west-north-west of center of Rome, across the Mignone river. The harbour is formed by two piers and a breakwater, on which is a lighthouse. The name Civitavecchia means "ancient town". Population was around 53,000 as of 2015.

Only a very small choice of dishes on the menu during my visit, (or maybe because I don't like cheese the choice is limited). however the waitress who spoke good English recommended a fish and pasta dish which was lovely, as was the house wine. can't fault the service.

This restaurant is somewhat more upscale than others we visited in Civitavecchia. We had reserved a table for eight persons and we were not many more customers. For simplicity we chose the menu degustation – very varied even with a taster of a local shark. The quality of the meal was very good, the raviolis on a basis of calamari interesting and with the Deserts we were quite full when we left. The waiter, I think he was the owner, very attentive and the wines were good, maybe somewhat more expensive than in other local places.
A sure quality maybe not totally satisfied with the price quality relation – but definitely worth a visit if you opt for a finer restaurant in Civitavecchia.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant for pizza and it didn’t disappoint. We started off with the mixed seafood and the mixed fried dish then shared a pizza which can be customised to your hearts’ content. We went for 3 very different flavours (diavola, a daily special and the buffolina) the best of which was the buffolina. We also shared a litre of wine which cost a very reasonable €9. The service was very friendly. The full meal came to €50.

Beautiful food, beautiful people running it and a fantastic wine list. Had a Sylvaner from Italy that complemented the ceviched swordfish and anchovies with pink peppercorns delightfully. Fried --they said it was squid but it was more like octopus. Fresh spaghetti with clams and bottarga and pasta bolonese.... They have a deck, an inside and a glassed in area. They have a beautiful dessert cart with very thoughtful desserts. They called us and cab and I got a bonus tour of the kitchen. Overall spectacular lunch.

I highly encourage everyone to avoid this place by all costs. It is a lovely restaurant, and the waiters were friendly, but the food is just awful! On top of everything else, they were trying to pull one on me when the bill came, which I didn't appreciate. I had ordered grilled meat, which on the menu was 15 euro. When the bill came out they had charged me 18 euro. I asked why and he explained, while showing me on the menu, that they didn't have the meat I'd originally ordered so they gave me the more expensive cutlet, and expected me to pay for it. I told him that wasn't my fault, that he should have advised me prior to bringing it out - to which he said, yes but now I had to pay for it. I said no, I wouldn't, and I was firm on the issue. He eventually came back with the correct amount on the bill, and that was that.
Even without this incident, I still wouldn't recommend the place because the food was ill-prepared and unappetizing. My friend ordered a seafood pasta dish, and there was an unidentifiable alien species in the dish and when we asked the waiter what it was he said they didn't know (in the kitchen) but that it was some sort of crustacean. Okay...if you're the restaurant and YOU don't know what something is...that's a red flag.
Don't eat here.

We were leaving on a cruise out of Civitavecchia last October and were lucky enough to find 80 Fame. It was a wonderful dinner! We were back in Civitavecchia for another cruise and hoped to have lunch there, but sadly they were not open for lunch.

Just had wonderful quick dinner at this place we found with Trip Advisor. We wanted a break from the usual Italian restaurants. Took a burger and the other huge Sandwich which its photos are shown here already. Everything was just great. Meat was very well made, and the bread is soft and crispy at the same time.
Excellent place to stop by. Trust me.

We decided to have lunch here given the recommendation of someone from Civitavecchia. We had a great starter composed of three cold and three hot entrées. Excellent! A must try! We ordered two glasses of wine and water. My husband had the gnocchi with some local lobster-looking fish and I had fish (italian name impossible to remember) with potatoes in the oven. Nice service, although not the best. A beautiful place, good food. I'm satisfied! About 30-35€ per person, no dessert!

Had to meet friends in Civitavecchia and decided to go for Tripadvisor's number 1 choice in town.
We did well. This litle causy restaurant in the center (not far from the harbour) is simple, no thrills and nice. The menu is not too extended (meaning the ingredients are fresh) and the wine list ok. Being mostly a fish place, start with the house's antipasto (a bit expensive - 18 euros) but worth the quality of what they serve you. The pasta dishesh are very good and tasty. The main courses whether meat or fish are very well cooked and are tasty. The Deserts are good. The service is by the owners and fast and courteous. Go & enjoy!

Very nice small restaurant with excellent food and service. We had a cheese platter, different pastas, tagliata di manzo and saltimbocca. All food was very tasty dishes were large enough. Good value for money Wouldn't say it really represents the world of Harry Potter but service is very family style. Recommended for a dinner with friends or a romantic occasion.
