Reviewed By SumsyHad a fantastic medieval night in room 113 in this Parador Castle and ex monastery, We had one of the two upgraded suites in a semi circular keep. The grounds and the castle have been upgraded and well kept and the gardens and tower give fantastic views of the surrounding area and river . Free parking right outside the room makes this stay something a bit different and good value for money. Only drawback is the Old City was half shut at night but it was a Monday.

Its strategic location in the main access road to Ciudad Rodrigo, and only 350 meters from the historic center, allows the client to fully enjoy their stay in the city and to comfortably visit, among other historical-artistic jewels, the Cathedral of Santa María , the Diocesan Museum, etc ... It has 36 rooms equipped with modern flat screenTV, free wifi throughout the hotel, telephone, air conditioning and bathroom. The common areas, with minimalist design, have a lot of space. Also areading area on the first floor is available. There is a restaurant/cafeteria with an outdoor terrace just next to the restored ruins of the Convent of San Francisco. Besides, we have in our main door, a modern system of autocheck-in per use of pre-reservations or make it one that night.

Reviewed By ptbabeOnly stayed here for one night, and was pleasantly surprised. It was great value for money, and a spacious room and comfortable bed. The lady at reception spoke some English which assisted our checkin service. She was very obliging.

Part of the Crisol (Eurostars) Hotel group. Although the rooms are dated, they offer all you want for a night. Breakfast is of a very good quality. Staff are very friendly. One can offload luggage directly at the entrance and there is private gated parking available. Located within the walls. A stone's throw from Cathedral, all other sights, restaurants and bars.

Located in a 18th century manor house totally refurbished in 2012. Hotel Arcos has a privileged location in the heart of the historic twon. The 31 rooms are equipped with full bathroom (bath or hydromassage shower), air conditioner (cold/heat), telephone, desk, Television and free Wi-Fi. Many rooms have a balcony with views of the Cathedral (National Monument). All mornings the breakfast Buffet is served from 7:00H. to 10:30H. for a price of 5€ (VAT included). The hotel has been a restaurant located In the main square (150 meters) with 10% discount (lunch and dinner) for the hotel clients. Hotel facilities include a Parking and lift with direct access to the different floors of the hotel. The hotel It has a cafeteria open everyday from 7:00 am to 00:00H. The reception is open 24 hours.

Only one night!
Reviewed By Paul AA small old hotel in a back street not too far from the centre of town. It is tired and urgently in need of refurbishment. Very little parking nearby, and as it was raining we went for the underground park beneath the hotel, (an extra €6). The entrance is steep and tight for anything other than a small car, and emerging without a hot clutch very difficult in my A4 estate. First time I wished I had an automatic. The water runs yellow for a minute in the unheated bathroom and then clears, but there is practically zero sound insulation. We heard someone running a bath at 0530 in the morning, and he sounded as if it was in our own room. The heating is apoaren controlled by a thermostat but the temperature doesn't change, just the noise level of the blower fans in the ducting. Not a great nights sleep. I had asked for a double bed, and then put in a special request via TA, and was assured the hotel would do this, but we had twin beds in our room, and I gave up trying to explain to reception, in broken Spanish as they understood no other language. Not ideal for travel industry employees. We won't be back.

No da la talla ni como "Pensión Loli"
Reviewed By Jose y Maribel APenoso, sucio hasta decir basta, baldosas rotas en más de un tercio, muebles que he visto mejores en la basura (y no exagero). Pequeña la habitación, pequeños los camastros (80*180) , nulo el mobiliario (en una doble había una mesita, una silla y una percha, aunque tampoco había sitio para mucho más) y del baño mejor ni hablar. Fuimos ahí porque era sábado festivo y no quedaba una plaza en ningún hotel. Ahora me arrepiento de no haber dormido al raso. Y el precio (cualquier precio habría sido caro) pero vamos 35 euros (y en "B") me parece un robo. Avisados estáis.

Reviewed By VeniVidiViajeThe property is on the Plaza Mayor, with direct entry from the street. It is a historic building and surrounded by many others. We occupied room 001, which was very good for our small dog as it is the only one with a glass-enclosed terrace. He loved watching the people in the Plaza Mayor, below. The room is decorated in a traditional style and is very comfortable. The beds are quite firm, which is our preference. Cleanliness was of a high standard, particularly in the bathroom. In the evening, we were concerned about the noise from people in the cafes and bars below us, but we needn't have been. When we closed the wooden shutters it was suddenly very quiet, as if someone had switched off the outside world. The only negatives are that Ciudad Rodrigo is a nightmare for parking and the property has a long stone stairway to access the reception/rooms. Neither is a major issue for anyone able-bodied and both issues are fairly normal for a property in a protected area. The staff are very helpful. We were booked in by Maria, who took great care to ensure we had parked in a permitted zone. The city itself can be seen in a day. It has many old buildings in a good state of repair and is very beautiful. The walk around the city walls is 2 kilometres in length and fairly even.

Reviewed By PieterL919Do not go there! What a terrible hotel! They have no idea how to help and serve their client's. The rules are like in a prison and ridiculous. Great hotel if you like dead bulls on the walls and the glorification of killing them! Too far from the ciudad Rodrigo without a service. Really a relic out if long gone times.
