Step back in time and imagine Italy as it was during 550 B.C. At least, that’s what you can do when you visit The Cilento—home to the remains of two ancient Greek cities: Paestum and Velia. To experience life a little later on, head to the Certosa di Padula, a Carthusian monastery (and World Heritage site) that dates back to 1306 and is known for its Baroque-style architecture. The park’s landscape also hints at these forgotten times with its vast seaside views and deep cave systems such as the Grotte di Castelcivita.

We spent the last weekend of July 2020 at the Victoria Resort. The experience was just excellent. The staff was welcoming, kind, and ready to accommodate requests and satisfy customers. The resort, conveniently located close to its private sandy beach (around 500m away from the resort), offers a cozy garden where you can either enjoy a delicious breakfast or spend your lunchtime or simply relax after a swimming session. Our room was clean and large. The management compliance with the anti-COVID-19 was commendable and guaranteed us a nice and safe stay.

The Village lies one kilometer far from the town of Marina di Camerota, in loc. Capogrosso. The underlying coast is scattered with wonderful beaches, characteristic and fascinating caves, inlets and bays. The terraced Village under the shadow of centuries-old olive trees is situated at 50 meters from the beach. The masonry cottages, one-room, two-room, and three-room flats, consist of furnished kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, and covered veranda. In the village you will find bar and restaurant which, as family-run business, offers local and genuine dishes carefully prepared. You can practice several sports, among which sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, diving (courses with instructor), horse riding. The animation staff involves with appeal and discretion the guests of all ages. Moreover, the Village has a tennis field, five-a-side football field, table tennis, animation, disco, play ground, baby club, beach service and reserved parking area.On demand, tours by boat and tours in Cilento e Vallo di Diano National Park, UNESCO heritage, rich in charming and interesting places.
The smallish village is well designed which allows family privacy and rooms with nice views. It is spread across an average steepish size hill and it has a convenient shuttle buggy service twice a day for those not wanting to walk. The restaurant/ bar children's play area, pool is located across a fairly busy road, however there is an underpass that connects both parts safely. We stayed on a half-board basis and loved the authentic Italian evening meals served with local wine. There is a shop nearby too for lunch products etc.The entertainment in the evening and at the beach is varied and first class. The beach is the fab and the water is not polluted and very refreshing. The gradient into the sea is quite steep and you will find yourself up to your neck quite quickly. However the good thing is the current pushes you back into the beach so no family getting swept out to sea. Finally, as English is pretty much non-existent you will probably be a curio and should expect to have broken English conversations with friendly other holiday makers and the great entertainment staff.

In Marina di Camerota, theRELAIS PIAN DELLE STARZE HOTEL serves up a setting that is utterly beautiful, ideal for reconnecting and enjoying a change of pace. The hills and the garden create a verdant backdrop for the lovely building, which boasts terraces, stone walls and tiled floors. The ambiance is warm and the atmosphere is private. The handsomely furnished 12 rooms and 3 suites at this charming Campania hotel are spacious and cool, thanks in particular to the air conditioning. Wood and marble dressing tables, wrought iron headboards, and antique chests of drawers create a rather rustic, tasteful style. The rooms have satellite TV, Wifi, bathroom with shower and hairdryer, and more. Their windows look out on the garden or to the sea. The house-made cakes at breakfast or regional specialities prepared with local organic ingredients at the restaurant are further proof that the Pian delle Starze de Marina di Camerota takes great care of you. You can eat under the olive and carob trees before or after spending time at the pool. The sea also awaits you in the vicinity of Relais Pian delle Starze, as does Salerno and the many picturesque villages that make Italy charming.
Lovely, restful location near many amazing beaches. We only stayed one night but could easily envision staying a week and enjoying the vast number of beautiful beaches nearby. We had a very nice dinner in the restaurant and breakfast was really good with a wide range of hot and cold foods. Only negative was the poor wifi in our room.

The Meuble has big and modernly furnished rooms with balcony and terrace. Most rooms overlook the beautiful Palinuro gulf, the rest have a view of the town's main street, Via Indipendenza. The rooms have recently refurbished with great taste offering guests a relaxing and comfortable experience. Also, they are all equipped with air conditioning, TV, safe, fridge, Wi-Fi and private bathroom with sh
The host at this B&B was very accommodating, sorting parking before our arrival when the town was closed for the local carnival. He also provided a helpful guide to the area. The room was recently renovated with a large balcony with views over the town to the sea. The bathroom was modern with a large shower and the room comfortable. Breakfast included meats and cheeses plus an excellent homemade orange cake - despite us being the only guests that evening.

In the extreme southern edge of Cilento National Park, overlooking the Gulf of Policastro, between Scario and Maratea, a simple and pleasant structure offers hospitality to whom wants to spend moments of serenity away from the frenetic rhythms.
I write this review whilst waiting for our plane to depart back to London after spending 5 nights at this hotel with my girlfriend. I was set the task by my other half to find a hotel with a pool and a balcony overlooking the coast, but with a tight budget... I came across this hotel and the pictures sold it for me, however I was a little sceptical because photos often look better than the real thing. I was wrong, the hotel and the surroundings are wonderful. The hotel is clean, airy and modern. The staff were all very friendly and more than willing to assist at any given opportunity. The breakfast (included) was fantastic with a selection of homemade cakes and other pastries. After eating the world's biggest croissant I often went up for seconds which consisted of fresh local meats and cheeses. The bedroom (room 5 - sea view with balcony) was clean and modern too. A large king size bed with a comfy mattress and cushions were a welcoming sight at the end of a long day laying by the pool... The balcony was big with 2 seats and a table overlooking the coast in the near distance. The photos don't give the balcony justice in my opinion. The pool was a nice size with plenty of sun loungers, and it was very clean throughout our stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid the Amalfi Coast and come here instead!

My wife and I stayed here in the last week of July 2016. We were looking for somewhere to have 7days of doing nothing...sleep, eat, swim.... I came across the website by pure chance, asked for avaliablity on Tuesday evening, got a decent price and booked on Wednesday morning and arrived on Saturday. It's easy to get too and is literally a 5 minute (slow) walk form the centre of Marina di Camerota. It's relatively small, with well-kept, practical mini appartments that have all the essentials. There's a small bar and a swimming pool with solarium overlooking the sea. A flight of stone steps leads to the beach (fine sand), where there is a part reserved for the village guests. Each appartment is assigned an umbrella, deck-chiar and sun-bed at the beginning of the stay, so there's no mad rush to get to the beach to try and "save" your place everyday. The beach is in the bay known as "La Calandra" , there are probably better in the area but again the convenience of being in the town and not having to drive miles for a swim, outweighs any negative aspects. (It can be little crowded during the morning but as lunch time approaches, everyone seems to disappear and the water was crystal clear!!!) The staff were friendly and helpful, while also discreet. The "animazione" was relatively poor, if not absent at times, which was much appreciated since we hadn't gone there "to be entertained". The atmosphere was very laid back in the village, no loud noises and no loud music at night...which made getting off to sleep even more pleasurable due to being able to hear the sea while in bed. On the whole, the stay was realxing and anjoyable...so much so that we're considering going back in September.

The holiday village Baia del Silenzio is located in Caprioli town, a few miles from Capo Palinuro Cilento National Park. Nestled in a beautiful natural setting, lighted by Crystal reflections and colours of lush vegetation and lush greenery the Resort Baia del Silenzio is located directly by the sea in one of the most beautiful bays of the coast of the Cilento National Park.
AVOID AS A FOREIGN TOURIST! The worst lodging experience we had in our whole trip in Italy. Their whole staff does NOT speak English (except a waiter) and are unqualified for foreign tourists. They even get aggressive when someone doesn't understand their instructions. They developed an App, which is only in Italian and no chance of changing language. They don't care nor apply any COVID protocols, we were never checked our Green Pass nor even got our temperature checked. The swimming pool is super crowded with kids and people who do not respect social distancing nor the swimming pool reservations. Except for the swimming pool area, the infrastructure is old and outdated. The activities are few and boring, they take place only in Italian, with only one show per night (ex. Kids Dance) followed by cheap animation by the same staff. The food is very low quality, with cheap whine (obtained from the juice dispenser), not even the breakfast is appropriate. We stayed one night and asked a full refund, which they refused to give until we warned them that we will call our lawyer. Each night costs more than 170€ plus made up beach taxes. This is extremely overpriced and completely not worth it given the above-mentioned problems.

We stumbled on this place pretty much by chance but decided to stay longer because we really liked it there. Simple, clean, friendly people. The rooms are very nice, decorated tastefully with old furniture. For all the non Italians: the breakfast is typically 'Italian' (coffee and biscuits), For me this was great, but some other people might expect something else.

Marulivo Hotel is a journey to a timeless place, the perfect place where to escape in order to find peace and the often forgotten sense of things. There are superb sea views from high terraces at this 11-room, converted monastery in the small medieval town of Pisciotta, on the Cilento coast. Every room, with all comforts and a breathtaking view, is unique and with a story to tell. Here the stones, the terracotta, the antique woodwork and the sea blend into pure architectural poetry. Marulivo Hotel is affiliated with the charming apartments of Casa Pixos and Petra Cottage,XVII Century's houses.
Excellent boutique hotel with a fantastic roof terrace. The owner couple, Lea and Massimo plus the whole team always were very supportive and attentive. The breakfast buffet was varied and everything was fresh from the region. A nice place to stay for at least three to four days.
