Reviews on Caribbean food in Cayo Coco, Ciego de Avila Province, Caribbean. Cayo Coco, an island just north of mainland Cuba, has some of the world’s most gorgeous beaches—think superfine white sand and shallow, clear water. It’s popular with European travelers seeking a sunny escape at one of the island’s beach-side resorts. Snorkeling and diving are fantastic.

So good that I went back next day. Not even a five minute walk from our resort. The grilled lobster was incredible. On my second visit I brought two other seafood lovers from our group. They concur that the lobster was unlike anything theyâve ever tasted. Not affiliated with any of the resorts so donât expect much help from workers of your resort when you ask for directions. Itâs a blue building with white railings.buildinwitrailinglocated between Amelia Jardines and Pestsna resorts.

Fishing and charcoal making were the main economic activities that the 19th century settlers got involved in and the experience can be lived through at La Güira which tells the tale by reproducing the former way of living in the premises. A must is a traditional Cuban dinner at the Rocarena Restaurant accompanied with a farmersâ party or a Guateque, as the local farmers call it; or a night outing at La Cueva del JabalÃ⦠A true Cuban experience!
