The food is still ok, but now the promotions for the past 6 weeks aren't too appetizing. Lately, they have promotions that are only from 11:00-14:00. That might be fine in Bangkok where a lot of business people get lunch break or there is a lot of foot traffic. But in the provinces, people live many KM away from their restaurant and they have to work during the day. Before the promotions were all day, so you got to enjoy it whenever you came.Also, they often times serve the food without extra plates. Food that is meant to be shared like a basket of fries or baked food that needs to be put on a separate plate away from the hot plate. Napkins (tissues) are scarce also, but that seems to be a Thai thing. They are friendly....sometimes it's a little annoying to ask over and over.

I have never, in all my life at any restaurant anywhere in the world been ignored. Went here after checking in to our hotel. Said hello on arrival & nothing. Sat down at a table & asked for a Chang beer, the waiter ignored us & threw the menus on our table, of which there was no drinks list in it only food. All of the waiters continued to ignore us. Two more parties came in after us & were served drinks & given menus. Still no one came to serve us, yet waiters were walking past us to other diners. After at least 20 minutes we got up & walked out. Absolutely shocking service.

Mr. Duu has a small but important contribution to Thung Wua Laen area. He has specialized greatly in having fresh Italian pasta, which is quite rare. This is in addition to having western breakfast, fresh bread daily, and just meticulous attention to detail. Fine dining for local prices. We are spoiled in Chumphon. If there are several customers, be patient. Its good food, but he is only one person. I often call my order in :) But if he doesnt answer, he's probably already busy.

I ordered a dish of spaghetti carbonara. It was good real Italian dish. I do recommend for fine dish dinner. We were forced to come to Chumphon after an emergency evacuation from Koh Tao. We were exhausted and unsettled till we arrived at this beautiful bar/restaurant and met the lovely staff. We chose their original Farang cocktail that was both beautifully presented and delicious. The staff were extremely kind - even offering us bug spray when they saw us itching from mosquito bites. We also had great western fries. Our second round of (different) drinks were equally as delicious to our first round with very reasonable prices too! Kind and attentive staff. Great food and drink. 5/5 Would recommend and will definitely return.

I've been to Chumphon pizza on several occassions recently and after trying several of the Mexican dishes, I finally decided to retry the pizza which was "not so great" before. Well, it's much better now. We'll see how things progress.. Where else can you get guacamole in Chumphon?
