Although it's a 30 minute drive from Boquete, we take the trip for the margaritas and authentic Mexican. The food is yummy and the service is very good. They are only open for dinner. It's funky and comfortable with an old VW coming out of the wall.

Had a sopa de tortilla which was really tasty. Just the right amount of spice. Good amount of tortillas cheese and avocado in it. The spicy michelada was very good. I likes the fact that they put some cilantro in it. The tacos were good as well. One dish had tortillas which could have been heated up a bit more but all in all compared to other Mexican restaurants in Panama I give this 5 stars. Service was attentive and we were even allowed to have our dog with us - outside on the terrace, having sacrificed air conditioning for it. Will definitely return
LA CASA MEXICANA is a beautiful gift and Mexican handcraft shop where art and the authentic Mexican flavors meet in a familiar and cozy atmosphere. Here you will find an extensive variety of Mexican craft items such as blown glass, pewter, clay, religious
The menu is not extensive, but the place is bright, new and friendly. Very personable service and usually the owner is there eating his own food... (a good sign!). I am vegetarian and there was nothing on the menu for me.. mostly burritos and tacos here with pork or chicken fillings, lots of cheese and beans. I asked them to leave out the meat in a burrito and they did that for me, but still charged me the same price (I felt a discount was in order since meat costs so much more than beans). They loaded it up I think mostly with more cheese but it tasted pretty good, not super, not the taste of Mexican sauces, mostly a cheese taste so a bit bland. The Pico Gallo was fresh tomatoes but again no taste.. maybe that is better so it is not too hot for one and not enough for another but I am used to some flavor in pico gallo. Overall, a nice place but it would be nice if it became a real restaurant with full service menu... and more flavor overall and some vegetarian options on the menu at a price that reflects their costs better. PS: Bought a really cool ball cap at the store side..Thank you for your comments, we will take it in consideration. As you know most Mexican Antojitos are served with tortilla and great variety of meats, but we can serve all our entries without meat to make it suitable for vegetarians customers or we fix it the way the customer requests it. Next time I will suggest you have enchiladas. The pico de gallo we make it is without hot pepper due to the fact that most customers we received don´t eat hot sauce, that is why we serve on the side three different types of Mexican salsas so they can put as much as they want, but we will be glad to make pico de gallo the old fashion way for you.Just as a little background I should mention that we started out as a small coffee shop, in less than a year have grown into a small restaurant, serving about 10 options of Mexican antojitos for now.We are looking forward to becoming better everyday so if you have a suggestions on which Mexican dish or dishes you would like to see listed in our menu please write us at: [email protected] or you can contact me at the store phone 730-1468 from 10-9pm on weekdays.Hope to hear from you soon.God Bless you.Best regards,Rafael

Three of us went to Rick`s in the evening. You can have whatever you want put on your hamburger... the tacos are very good and filing. Very nice place to visit. It is mostly outdoors but with good shade. The service is quick and friendly.I recommend Rick's.Great, thanks for your visit and your review. Hope to see you soon!
