Friends invited us out for dinner at the Munich Haus. I had been there before, was familiar with the cuisine, and couldn't wait for an enjoyable experience. We were not disappointed.
Love the atmosphere, the friendly waitstaff, the fabulous ambiance, and of course the delicious food and drink.
I had a side salad, the scallops and spaetzle as my side. Wonderful meal. Everyone else enjoyed their meals and beers.
Can't wait to go back!

Don't let the tiny place fool you! My kids weren't so sure about what they would eat but they loved the chicken p.o. boys. The gumbo is amazing!. I had the crab cakes and the hubby had the catfish poboy. It took us right back to New Orleans! Parking is metered in front but we had no issues. A must eat in Springfield!

On a recent visit to Cal's with a group of eight, we all had a pleasant experience. We were celebrating as a board as a volunteer group and also had some business to take care of, too.
Our waitress, Q, was attentive, fun and aware of our needs.
I enjoyed the Mediterranean style Seafood Pasta, which was loaded with seafood.
Everyone enjoyed their meals, and compliments to the chef for getting everything out in a timely manner, hot and delicious.
The only problem is the parking on a busy night - using the side street and neighboring apartment complex helps.
Definitely will visit Cal's again.

Located In The Old Blue Sky Diner Location
I absolutely adore everything about this restaurant. From the food, choices on the menu, the drinks and décor, it is amazing and very, very Mexican. Even a live mariachi band plays with some musicians and vocalists with some really great pipes! It is cool that they come around to play music for everyone, but in a small restaurant, it is so loud that you cannot hear a table conversation. I would suggest making a stage for them and allowing people to come up to them to hear the music and perhaps dance. The food is a tad pricey, but WELL worth it. It seems homemade and you get to take home seconds. Try the guacamole that is prepared tableside and order it with "toda"! Great job Frontera!!

Funky BBQ and Blues joint. Freshly smoked meats. Live music five nights a week. 21 plus after 9pm
Ribs & spice, not for me. Menu used to be eclectic and more upscale homey. Quite aesthetic interior, rustic, high ceilings, although a little difficult to hear others.

Stopped in for brunch. The place is very clean, nice vibe and the staff is friendly. There is seating in the bar area and there is a larger main dining area. Tables are nice, but a bit too cramped. Seems like they are trying to get as many tables as possible in the room without consideration for comfort. I get it, but maybe scale back a little bit.
The food was excellent. We started with the fried Brussel sprouts and the calamari. Both were outstanding. The sprouts were very lightly fried – the crunch was perfect and the flavor was really good. The calamari was also totally on point. Great flavor and cooked perfectly.
I had the teriyaki salmon cobb salad. The salmon was perfect, not too much sauce, just enough to give it a bit of the teriyaki flavor. The salad itself was super fresh and the dressing was a perfect match for all of the veggies and fish.
We tried the backed Alaska for dessert. I have to say of all the things we tried, this was my least favorite. It reminded me of a melted peep that you would get at Easter. Way too sweet and the menu said there was an orange flavor to it – no orange flavor to be found.
Overall this place it absolutely worth checking out. Try the Brussel sprouts, you will not be disappointed.

Went 1:30 hour to closing time on a weekday night. Waitress was very nice and the place looked interesting and prices weren't bad. My friend loved the seafood plate. Unfortunately the restaurant was very dirty from carpet to walls and the chairs were so hard to maneuver. There was fruit flies around and my food a pot roast, was extremely dry. (They were out of their famous steak as advertised on menu). Not sure I would go back.

Reasonable price on everything, great service. This place will make you feel going back 30 years at least, the price stays the same, very inexpensive.

It's always nice to be able to dine at at Cracker Barrel while traveling, because we're from the south. This experience was fantastic, our waitress was amazing. From personality to ordering. She also brought everything we asked for without having to be reminded. The $20 tip was more than deserved, made the end to a difficult day extremely relaxing. Would definitely go back:)
