横須賀の走水と言えば、やはりアジだ。本来、アジは一般的にはあちらこちらとエサを求めて回遊すると言われているが、ここ走水では、あまりにもここの居心地が良いので、本業の回遊業？を辞めてしまい定着してしまったアジ族が居るらしい。それはそのはず、ここは彼らの日常の食材プランクトンのみならず、サーロインステーキ級の贅沢なエビがわんさかといるらしい。回遊しない運動不足のアジはこの地ですくすくと育ち大きくなるのであろう。この地では５０cmオーバーの真アジが釣れるという話は嘘でないようだ。走水という所は、たくさんの釣り人がこの５０cmオーバーのアジを狙うために日本全国から集結する。彼らは魚の群れを帯び寄せるために、船上からアジの好物なサーロインステーキ級のコマセ（エビ他）を毎日、朝夕晩と惜しげもなく大量にまき散らす。半端な量ではない。まあ、体長が５０cmにならなくとも、このような環境で育ったアジなので、脂をしっかりと体内に蓄えてアジフライなり刺身になる訳だ。刺身はコリコリとした歯ごたえがあり、アジフライはふんわりとした柔らかな贅沢な食感を満喫させてくれる。近くの山の上の防衛大学生が訓練をこっそり抜け出して、バレたら懲罰、鞭打ち？それはないか？を食らうリスクを犯してまでもアジを食べに来るだけの価値のある食堂であることは間違いない。アジの味こそ間違いないのだが、それにしても、防衛大臣も食事に立ち寄るレベルの店、店は狭くとも、せめてトイレは水洗のウォシュレット付きにして頂戴！

Hamazushi is yet another good, inexpensive conveyor-belt sushi restaurant in Japan. It's a popular lunch place and I understand that prices are lower through the week. I recommend it.

Though it is more famous for 90 min all you can eat sea food BBQ, we had sea food bowls. Sea food BBQ sounded nice but 2700 yen per head only 90 minutes may not be that attractive to us compare the ration of grilling and eating time. Variety of sea food bowls menu are quite filling and reasonable price. We enjoyed very much. Shirasu-the young of the sardine bowl is up to the season and it is limited so if you see it, highly recommend to order it.

I lived in Japan many years ago as a member of the US Navy. Stationed just a few miles of this restaurant. I had the pleasure of having lunch here. Although they specializes in seafood, I decided to have tempura instead. Nevertheless I had a small portion of fish as a side dish. There is a fish market located directly behind the restaurant. Delightful and very affordable. The service was great and within a few minutes I was enjoying my meal.

This place is always packed and it stands alone as one of the top ramen spots I've been to. It's worth the wait for the bowl of noodles you're about to eat. Not much more to say, the ramen is good and worth traveling to.

1階がお土産店、2階がカレー店になっていて、一階入り口で名前を書いて待っていました。TVで紹介していた後だったので、平日でしたが2時間以上待ち。近くの商店街をうろうろして時間潰してもまだかなり時間があったので、戦艦三笠やどぶ板通りまでのんびり見てきました。2階は三笠の船内を模したらしく、落ち着いた感じです。海軍カレーは甘い感じで黒カレーは辛口、どれも牛乳サラダ付きでした。

The shop is a small shop, family run almost kittie-corner of the post office. It gets busy during lunchtime as it is very popular and cheap. The tempura is awesome and the portions are very good for such a cheap price. Tendon is very good but I think the anago is special! Get the Omori size for sure! Nowdays they even have an English menu on the wall. Guess this place is getting popular! Great tempura for under 1000 yen, can't beat it!

Love this sushi place. Very affordable. Cold beer. Water and green tea included. Sushi on the go round that you can grab anytime or order from the menu. The spicy charred salmon is to die for! Have been here several times and plan to go anytime I'm nearby!

Great place with great sushi everything was good. Location, parking, sushi rice, and fresh ingredients it all incorporated and came out as great dining experience for such a little amount of money. I had so many ootoro.

店員さんに初めてなら「さすけ定食」がオススメです！と言われ注文しました。人気のアジフライとアジの刺身を含む３種の刺身がセットになったメニュー。人気のアジフライは勿論の事、刺身は新鮮でどれも身が厚く食べ応えがあり美味。スタッフ皆さんが素朴で温かく迎えて下さりホッコリするお店でした。
