This is a good place to have a cuppa when you are touring nearby. I had on two occasions had Cappuccino and an Espresso, both of which tasted and smelled delicious. The price is also very reasonable compared to the quality of coffee they are serving.

I went there with some friends for dinnerand as a vegetarian i ordered a dish that had a vegetarian version (frijoles with tortilla and vegetarian chorizo) and made sure that the waiter understood that i asked for a vegetarian meal. When i recieved the plate it didn't seem like a vegetarian chorizo so i asked him again and he said that it was vegetarian. So i started to eat and than inside of the tortillas i found something that i was not sure what was it so i called him again and asked and he told me that it was chicken.. When i told him that i specifically asked for a vegetarian dish he went to speak with the chef that told him that it comes with chicken (in the menu of course it doesnt say that it comes with chicken!and i'm also quite sure that the chorizo was meat as well..) In the end i just cancelled the order and went to eat somewhere else.but it was definitely a bad experience.Anyway it's seems that they have no idea what is a vegetarian dish so if you are looking for a vegetarian place do yourself a favor and go to eat in another place.

Good hot coffee, and good food for the price. It is right on the corner of the town square, so you can enjoy the activity and people watch. It is very clean and offers such a variety of menu items. There are fruit smoothies, cocktails and beer, and light dining fair. They sell the house ground Chiaps coffee, at reasonable rate. It is a nice souvenir, a way to remember Palenque after your vacation is past.....

Cafe Jade is one of the recommended restaurants in the Cañada area of Palenque. Couldnât figure out why it was so full except that there arenât many other options that are any better. Food is ok. I had a decent vegetable tomato soup. Guacamole was plentiful but bland...a little hot sauce helped. Enchiladas with mushrooms & chipoline were good but a bit soggy on the bottom.
