Discover Restaurants offering the best Pub food in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. A stronghold of Mayan culture, San Cristóbal’s colonial stucco walls and Spanish tile roofs contrast with the surrounding villages, which remain home to an array of Mayan-descendant Indians. The city itself is a delight. Paired with the cultural diversity surrounding it, there’s nothing like it in Mexico.

It's not like there aren't many choices for dining in San Christobal... We stumbled upon this quaint little hip bistro style gastro pub and had a great meal for a very reasonable price. The ambiance was very nice, the service attentive and the food quite good indeed! The kind of place you'd go to on a regular basis if you lived here full time... Do go in confidence! Hope this review was helpful!!!

Welcome to the restaurant La Abuelita , a place that will not go unnoticed in San Cristobal. Here you can enjoy delicious snacks and Mexican dishes in the best environment. Among the specialties of the house is the rubbish, the Chamorro Michoacan style, f
I ate here twice; the first time with two friends, the second time by myself. I would have given the place four stars for the first experience: the drinks were stiff and tasty, and the food was solid. The second time, however, the waiter seemed more interested in his cell phone than in serving tables, and two of my drink orders couldn't be fulfilled because the kitchen was out of both tomato juice and mint leaves. The music -- classic rock -- was good on both occasions, though.

Pub with large variety of craft beer from Mexico and around the world, delicious hamburgers, French fries, and other bar food. Beautiful beer garden patio. Cozy atmosphere.
Loved the beer selection. The owner was very knowledgeable about his product. Nice setting. Good food at the cafe too. Excellent service and good prices

A nice variety of drinks (including craft beers !!), some varied food and most importantly the atmosphere and the live music... an unbeatable combination for an evening out in San Cristóbal, where there is no lack of amusements at hand... the decor is politically leftish which you may like or not, and the customers tend to go with that tune but that does not affect at all the enjoyment at this great place... definitely my first choice for an after-dinner drink.

Snack bar yucatan style. tacos and tortas made with traditional Yucatecan dishes, and veggie options. relaxed atmosphere ideal for drinks before a night out or just to have a nice lunch
(Food info below.) I came here on a Monday around 4 PM. The front door was padlocked and the TripAdvisor sign showing the opening hours wasn't filled in. The reviews were so great -- and I love food from Yucatan (Valladolid, at least) -- that I came back on Tuesday. They told me that they're open from 1 to 10 PM but closed on Mondays. OK. The food was fantastic, so I decided to try more on Wednesday. Around 5 PM, I came back. Closed. I'd really suggest calling ahead. I've added a photo of the lock and TA sign on the front door.(By the way, local Mexican cell phones are cheap by US standards. I got a non-smart phone for less than $20 US at an OXXO store. It has video and still cameras, a phonebook, an FM radio, and even some cheesy games. I had to buy minutes at a Telcel store -- I added $3 US. It's been very useful. It also has unlimited text messages. To get a local area code, I think you need to buy it in San Cristobal... though maybe that doesn't matter. I'll be here for a month, so it's been nice to give my local number to hostels, etc.)The totally delicious food I had was called, I think, a Pita. It's not like Pita bread -- in the US, anyway. It's what we'd call a tostada in the southwest US: a crisp tortilla covered in veggies, meat and cheese. Although I try to avoid eating raw vegetables here, this place seemed safe. (I've been fine.)One of the best things was the very hot green salsa. It was one of the most delicious green salsas I've ever had. I'm used to spicy hot foods, so I can taste the flavor. Most green salsas I've had in southern Mexico were either pretty tasteless or tasted like vinegar/etc. This salsa made the pita burst with flavor.I gave the service an "average" since the place was closed 2 of 3 times, but the mesero was attentive and friendly. Their menu is in both English and Spanish. There are only a few tables here, so it's best to come at off-hours. (And I hope you find it open!)Hi, we are really happy to hear you enjoyed the food, and ask for an apology Mondays are usually our day off, but that week we had some trouble and we prefer to close in those cases than offer a bad service, we hope the next time you came back to San Cristobal you can enjoy our food again

I went here for lunch and can say that in my experience this restaurant is very average. The service was very slow, wifi didn't work and the quinoa salad I ordered was extremely unsatisfying; very small, no imagination, very bland, literally just a small pile of quinoa on a plate with some halved cherry tomatoes, tiny goats cheese balls and some raisins with an acceptable pesto on the side. Would not recommend. Much better food for the same price elsewhere.
