Find out what Fusion restaurants to try in Tapachula. Tapachula de Córdova y Ordóñez, simply known as Tapachula, is a city and municipality located in the far southwest of the state of Chiapas in Mexico, near the Guatemalan border and the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the most important cities of Chiapas economically as the capital of the agriculturally rich Soconusco region as well as port for trade between Mexico and Central America. The area was originally inhabited by the Mames as a region under the control of the Mame state of Xelaju but was first established as a city by the Aztecs in the 13th century. Most of its economic importance has come since the late 19th century with the establishment of coffee plantations. This agricultural production began a history of migration into the area which continues to this day and has left the city with a significant Asian and German cultural presence as well as large Mayan and Nahua indigenous populations.

enjoy distinguished Mexican food in our exclusive restaurant.
Often I visit the Casa Mexicana. I always enjoy their breakfast food/service in the garden...it's enchanting and the right kind of start for a day in Tapachula (shopping mostly on my trips)...they now serve lunch and dinner and we waited until the last night to dine there...BIG MISTAKE...I believe I would have had several more meals there if I had known exactly how delicious dinner would be (I still want to do lunch on my return visit). THANK YOU for letting me RAVE about Tapachtlan/Casa Mexicana! Len
Where to eat Bar food in Tapachula: The Best Restaurants and Bars

Was there for business last week. The food was average and the wait staff was less than average. The setting of the restaurant is very nice with a terrrace overlooking the laguna but unless you have some time, don't bother. It took well over an hour for the food to arrive.
The best burgers in Tapachula. Full of flavor and the best ingredients!
If you want to enjoy a quality american-style burger in a clean shop with modern/hipster vibes and great service, go here. I tried two different burgers: the mushroom and argentina. Both were excellent and beefy. I think they use ribeye meat for all of their burgers. I also loved the artisanal buns they use. Their simple skinny-cut fries were great, however I would skip the one with salsa which was too saucy for me. Overall I had a great experience here as a traveler, easily beats many of the gourmet burger chains in the US. Would highly recommend if you have a grease craving.
