Good hot coffee, and good food for the price. It is right on the corner of the town square, so you can enjoy the activity and people watch. It is very clean and offers such a variety of menu items. There are fruit smoothies, cocktails and beer, and light dining fair. They sell the house ground Chiaps coffee, at reasonable rate. It is a nice souvenir, a way to remember Palenque after your vacation is past.....

Food was good and tasty. The small bottles of white wine were good value. Staff were helpful. Very pleasant setting with nice views.

We went here for lunch and had a great meal. The staff was friendly although they did not speak much English (luckily "tacos" is understood in all languages). We got an assortment of different tacos and each was good. They came with different sauces which made it fun to mix and match. We sat upstairs and enjoyed the view of the street. I would recommend.

We all had some sort of seafood tacos and they were all great. But the best ones were shrimp tacos. Also the staff is really friendly and helpful. Great food, breakfast, lunch or dinner. Prepared fresh and reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Good old western standards and a delicious variety of Mexican and Yucatecan foods. We spent 12 days in Mexico in January-February 2019. This was one of the best restaurants that we ate at. I had the shrimp tacos and my wife had the sea bass. The ingredients were fresh and the preparation was perfect and - according to our local guide - authentic to the region.

Cafe Jade is one of the recommended restaurants in the Cañada area of Palenque. Couldnât figure out why it was so full except that there arenât many other options that are any better. Food is ok. I had a decent vegetable tomato soup. Guacamole was plentiful but bland...a little hot sauce helped. Enchiladas with mushrooms & chipoline were good but a bit soggy on the bottom.

Intriguing concept of pre Hispanic foods. Host/owner very informative and seemingly passionate about traditional Maya food. Well presented and really tasty , several local meats, quail, venison, crayfish and shrimp, wild boar, cooked perfectly with a choice of local spices and sauces. Traditional tortias of corn and root vegies accompany dinner. Great addition to trekking the ruins for history buffs. Great cocktails!
