Opened till 1966, tuscan food, garden for summer time, romantic dinner.
Luncheon weekend. Warm welcome, attractive Terrace area, thoughtful menu and wine list. Presentation, taste and quality all of high level. Service staff most accommodating and helpful. Restaurant was not crowded and everything proceeded flawlessly. Have no idea how they might cope with a large number of customers as with several rooms and the Terrace it could become quite busy. All in all, a truly delightful experience.

The Osteria ACQUACHETA, open for over 25 years, has retained the characteristics of the old Tuscan taverns. The kitchen, sharing tables, one glass for water and wine, and not least an authentic welcome and true, typically Tuscan, make it a local flavor ... you feel at home ... Managers, CHIARA and GIULIO, have maintained intact over the years the tradition of pasta, bread, cakes and homemade preserves to which are added succulent steaks cooked Florentine embers of wood. Local, small and very popular, is located in the upper part of the old town, a few steps from the main square.
We stopped for lunch at Montepulciano and sat at one of the large tables of the osteria Acquacheta.
The fireplace in the back of the restaurant was a good sign as was the menu focusing on simple-looking dishes but exquisite.
We tried the traditional picci pasta with different sauces, and they were delicious. The meat looks appealing as well, just prepared to eat a lot!
The owner was genuine and proud of his food and all in all it was one of the best food experiences we had on our trip to Tuscany.

We were having lunch! Great pasta, nice people, homelike food! Taste the Fiorentina! ❤️❤️❤️❤️The water allowed us to open our Boscarelli bottle. Very kind!

We went to this restaurant as it was recommended by our hostess Giulia of Agriturismo Fonteleccino.
We let the owner, David, decide what we would have and his choices were delicious..including the red wine and the Grappa for after dinner.
Friendly staff, very good food and a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

We were very nicely welcome even as we had reserved with "The Fork" at a 50% discount which made for an extremely good price.
We had two starters, a first course and a second course.
The courtesy entrée was pleasant: bruschetta soft-toasted bread with stewed cabbage and spinach. So were the starters, if we are struggling to remember them after just a couple of days.
My first course was underwhelming: fresh, home-made pasta with "aglione" which is supposed to be a cooked tomato sauce very strongly flavoured with garlic. It was a good tomato sauce, with negligible garlic.
The second course, a tagliata - grilled beef steak sliced thin after cooking, was better but with just a couple slices zucchini and carrot as a side, which made a side dish a requirement. Separately paid side dishes have long been a standard in any restaurants in Italy, still you do expect something on the side of your plate, too, and we missed it there.
I found the decor almost annoying: a hodgepodge of old flea market and new plastic items lacking any discernible correlation beside being highly visible and utterly mismatched: think of a enameled, artsy, old-fashioned Sicilia mandarine liquor bottle on the shelf on your right, and a tiny white enameled boxlet in the shape of a house with heart-shaped holes on the roof near a plastic flower on your table. Then add dozens other unrelated items on the walls, tables and ceiling, including two ruby-red icicle lamps.

We returned to Chianciano and drove up a hill to enjoy dinner in a lovely farmhouse at La Casina Ristorante overlooking Montepulciano. We enjoyed a delicious house Montepulciano wine, hearty Tuscan bean soup, fresh bread and an even heartier stew. Perfect on a cold and chilly evening.

Oh my gosh! This food was so good. We were just staying in town for 1 night and I wanted to eat here after I saw the view. The view is amazing and so is the food!! They have a small patio so we waited about 8 minutes for a table to open up while i drooled at all the pastries in the case. The pasta was fresh and so was the sauce. They even made a special sauce for my fiance on the spot. I highly recommend. Oh and don't leave without getting gelato!

Our day trip to Montepulciano was enhanced when we happened upon LA PENTOLACCIA for lunch. We were greeted warmly and seated outside. Our hostess helped us choose excellent wine, Vino Nobilo, to pair with our beef tenerloin with mustard sauce (one of the best steaks I have ever eaten) and a pork filet with prune sauce (fantastic). Please try this place if you are forturnate enough to visit the area!

We stayed at the hotel ricci and found this gem of a restaurant located just across the street. Under new management, we met the owner Gianna who was Molta carina, very sweet and hospitable. The food was of typical Tuscan cuisine and was delicious. They generously offered us their Sardinian specialty of le seadas, which is a warm pastry filled with cheese and a touch of honey, the perfect blend of sweet and salty. The atmosphere is very pleasant and comfortable. I highly recommend Ristorante Patry.

Cooking meat of the best national flocks. Visit us and enjoy succulent Chianina beef burgers, rich grilled, Fiorentina steak, and other many delights of Tuscany cusine. For Pizza lovers do not miss our Special Pizzas with buckwheat flour and wheat flour. Children's play area and outdoor Terrace. Open every day from 19 pm to 01am.
We were welcomed by the friendly waiters as soon as we arrived.
The menu sounded fantastic and the food matched.
We ate a Viking Burger and a Tagliata which were both fantastic. The meal, a beer, a wine, water, dessert and coffee came to 40 EUR.
Its also great to see a restaurant full of locals that were chatting to the waiters like they were all friends. I think that is always a good sign of a good restaurant.
