While Cheyenne is the capital of Wyoming, it’s also considered America's rodeo and railroad capital. But there’s more to this Magic City of the Plains, with high tech taking advantage of using the mix of weather, landscape and populace for their latest innovations. Cheyenne is home to museums, historic hotels and mansions, a collection of heritage steam engines, western-themed attractions and shopping, resorts and ranches, a thriving arts community and a wide array of outdoor adventures.

The woman behind the counter rushed over when she thought we got a soft drink instead of water at the DIY drink counter. We had used some flavoring from home which we squeezed into our water. She wanted to add a drink charge to our bill until we showed her the squeeze bottle. They charge extra for each topping on a steak sandwich, including onions peppers and mushrooms. We are used to a complete steak sandwich with all the toppings so this kind of amused us.

Four of us went for dinner. We ordered the ribs, the jambalaya, and the shrimp special. All were excellent. They have a good variety of wine and beer. Wine prices are about what you would expect. Food prices seemed reasonable. Service was excellent. Very popular restaurant, so I definitely recommend making a reservation.

Luxury Diner is the friendliest place in town with the most memorable food! We're one of the most unchanged restaurants in all of America, serving only handmade food. We've also been featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.
They're only open until 3pm so you have to time your visit if you're just passing through, as we frequently do on our way between Casper and Denver. But we finally managed to do that and it was worth it! The business has been there since 1926 and is housed in an original diner car. It's homey, quirky, the menu is extensive, and the food is fantastic, the portions quite generous. They make delicious cinnamon rolls that are big enough for the whole table to share, and breakfast is served all day. We were there at lunchtime and I had the original Philly Cheesesteak sub, which was highly recommended. I understand why, as I've never had a better one. The rest of our party had breakfast and they loved their dishes as well. We had a 5 yr old and a 2 yr old with us who were well accommodated, and they offer a good sized kid's menu. The staff is friendly and helpful. We will make sure all our trips through Cheyenne include a stop here!

A fun, lively, inviting, warm place. Located on Happy Jack Road about 20 minutes outside (west) of Cheyenne. Worth the short trip to enjoy the comfort food, western atmosphere and friendly people. You’ll be greeted with a smile and a warm hello. Make yourself at home, sit back and enjoy the charm and history of the Bunkhouse as well. Memorabilia adorns the place and offers the true western wear of wood throughout the place. The staff is so friendly an accommodating. Quick with a smile, a laugh and or a drink. They are eager to offer suggestions on sights to see, things to do, directions and history about the area.
The food was yummy and prepared fresh and as ordered. The burgers are scrumptious and tasty. The BLT was excellent and filled with hearty portions. The onion rings are the best around Cheyenne – crispy and hot - Served with a smile and quick refill of a beverage. The Bunkhouse offers a full bar (beer, wine, spirits) and plenty of seating at the bar and throughout the place. Live music on Friday evenings as well. I can’t say enough about the staff and how friendly and accommodating they are. Had a fun filled and amazing visit here. A great idea for lunch as they are a short drive from Cheyenne. Or you can schedule your trip from Cheyenne to Laramie (or Laramie to Cheyenne) around having lunch and or dinner here. The Bunkhouse is nestled in the country side of Wyoming and provides a true western country feel. It’s like meeting up with an old friend – you’ll feel welcomed, relaxed and enjoy your stay visiting the staff and patrons. Safe travels and enjoy. CHEERS!

One of the more interesting Thai restaurants I've been to. It's in what appears to be a sketchy part of town (next to a shuttered motel and otherwise pretty much by itself), but we didn't necessarily feel unsafe and I wouldn't let that stop me from going again. The restaurant itself may have been a saloon at one point from the layout inside. As for the food, I enjoyed my Thai salad with tofu. My wife's shrimp and string bean entree was pretty good too. It was quiet inside, which was nice.

food was very average at best... I would not recommend. I had roast beef with gravy very bland. There was a person in the restaurant that appeared to be acting very strangely and kept motioning to my daughter and made us very uncomfortable. Thank god he left!

My best friend and I stop here often and food, drinks staff are always awesomr. I dont have any neg comments, only thing they can change is to give food away.
Large portions and usually fast service too. If your looking for mexican dish go to Casa just a few blocks to south

I always visit the Dell Range location. The place has a huge menu and all of it looks good, but I always get the same thing. Tapitio salad, the best salad in town. Friendly service that is reasonable in terms of wait vs crowd. Very kid friendly and the make pink chips for October and further support breast cancer awareness month. I wish there were more places in Cheyenne that do things this well.

Like most places, the Cheyenne Outback has some significant ups and downs.
First of all, great parking even for bigger rigs, so that's a real up for us.
The reception is quick, crisp, sparkling, and exceptional. Table seating was quick and efficient so a real up score on these points. The fact that the reception staff was wrapping silverware on the area seating while between customers was a bit of an odd impression.
Our waitress (yes, I still refuse to use wait staff) was perfectly friendly, helpful, and interested in us having a good dining experience.
The meal (sirloin steaks) were done up as ordered which is a bit unusual to see as we have become quite used to getting our steaks done however the cook likes to do them, but in this case, they were all done just as ordered.
Coffee was a bit of an issue as the cream came along with it but no spoon was evident. Had to use the salad fork to stir things up. No biggy but a real downer on points.
The house mashed potatoes are a real winner. Forget what they were called but absolutely great.
The salad is perfectly done and the serving is surprisingly large & delicious.
The warm bread served up is crisp, chewy, and sweet. Quite a unique production but delicious.
The steaks, although cooked perfectly, were clearly from racing cows or some other very athletic animals because the sinews and grizzle were really downers. The work to slice off edible amounts of meat was a real workout and we ended up just giving up trying to slice out edible chunks from the stringy connective tissues. Not a fun time doing that.
The service remained attentive and friendly throughout which was a pleasant surprise.
This restaurant clearly puts some effort into keeping things orderly and clean - even though the bizarre silverware wrapping demonstration continued to greet new customers. It has a great comfortable feel from beginning to end.
Prices were fine for what was ordered but not so much for the quality delivered. Being in Wyoming and cow country, quality meat should be a given but not so much at our visit.
Lots of great points but the heart of the meal let us down. Still, with those potatoes and that sharp service, we have to pull this spot out of the negative and give it an overall average score. Wish it could be more, but the steaks just don't stand up.

Family run and operated restaurant for 40 years
The outside may look shady, but oh how looks can be deceiving. Inside is a throwback to class, and original steakhouses. Our food was excellent. Grilled chicken salad, burgers and fries were all eaten with smiles. I hear that dinner is even better. Sadly we were there at lunch, though it was so good, dinner will soon follow!
