Very extensive menu, and cheap for what you get. The servings are BIG, with an all-you-can-eat salad bar (with soup station). I had the pork chops -- two large pork chops (no bones), with choice of potato (I had American fries), soup and salad bar for $9.99. Way more than I could eat for lunch and they are happy to provide you with a 'to go' box.
The bill for three of us (no drinks) was $32. I don't know how they do it for the price.

We stopped by this place while passing through Chesaning. Convenient parking and a small quaint (old-style atmosphere inside). The food was average quality but the ice cream and the malts were old-style and well worth the price paid. Reasonably priced food and EXCELLENT ice cream varieties.

I was torn how to rate the Rustic. I've been here many times for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast I would give it a 5, but for lunch or dinner I'd give it a 3, so I met in the middle. Anything for breakfast is great. Burgers are ok for dinner, but if you looking for a burger in the area I'd go to Gabby's or Farmers Home Tavern in Hemlock. Great wildlife displays. The kids love them. When busy the service can get bogged down.

Local restaurant with new owners. this place is excellent for our morning breakfast. Service was good and the owner came over and said hello to us. Food was good and price is very good. We both had a tall stack special of french toast and it was texas toast and was very good at $5.95 a great value.

I go by here quite a bit and have always wanted to stop because there is always a full parking lot (it's a big parking lot) We had a very nice waitress but the entire order was wrong. She was very apologetic and re-ordered our food. My chicken burrito was pretty good but the person I went with said his beef burrito had cold meat. He said he would never return, but I think with the other reviews and seeing they are always busy, I might give them another try.

This was a totally awesome experience!
A hidden & surprising gem!
Located on the outskirts of town, this place looks like just a small diner...
but wow what an amazing mission!
So many positives it makes me say again.... "there are no excuses of anything less"!
Upon entering the first thing I noticed was that is it VERY clean!
It is nicely decorated right down to the bathrooms decor! And the bathrooms were also extremely clean!
Now before I tell you about the food... I will tell you that I learned from our WONDERFUL server Misty, that the entire placed is cleaned and cared for completely by the staff of Special Needs People!
Now is there any excuse for any restaurant being unclean? I think NOT! :)
Our server Misty was very informative when we ask detailed specifics about foods we were considering ordering. Most helpful and honest in giving her answers.
Ok, on to food. Prices were soooo reasonable!
Everything is homemade! And it shows!
Pretty traditional American foods. Some Mexican Food entrees also.
The salad bar had ROMAINE not iceberg! WOW! Hardly any one does that! Love it!
Many toppings that were fresh. Other tuna mac, cole slaw & potato salads. VERY Clean salad bar & surroundings! And while we were there additional fresh items were being placed on it.
When our server brought my Mums liver I said to her "that liver looks like it will be super tender". She took a bite and said she never has had it so tender and delicious!
I was then intrigued to try it. And I said the same thing! Mum even expressed to our server how wonderful it was!
So I ordered Walleye. I am the fussiest eater anyway....but with fish I am even more so.
It was a nice thin batter, not over salty. The fish was GREAT!
Both our meals had Am Fries. How refreshing they were sliced real potatoes with the skin on! And lightly pan fried. Not greasy and not salted. Very good. Just a huge portion!
We felt the meals were generous portions & well plated.
So Mum wants to take coconut creme pie home for dessert later.
That evening we had it. WOW! VERY VERY Good! Looked & Tasted like homemade crust too!
We had interaction with the Special Needs staff and they were so kind & pleasant!
Although this is a little far for us, we said we would definitely make it a destination to come again!
Also, see the photos of the "Gathering Room". I said "We must have our Christmas Party here!"
Simply elegant! Absolutely perfect elegance, yet comfortable for a semi casual soiree!
What an amazing place with an awesome mission!
The 1st NON Profit (NGO) Restaurant in all of USA!
Yes! We would like some more of this please!

The Riverfront Grille's goal is to be the ideal place for friends, family, and businesses, from Lansing to Saginaw, to meet and enjoy food, spirits and sports. Riverfront Grille serves freshly prepared, high quality, popular cuisine that is targeted to appeal to a variety of tastes and budgets with an emphasis on reasonably and moderately priced signature items. The restaurant strives to provide attentive and friendly service with a high ratio of service personnel to customers and a focus on investing in the training of its employees.
We attended a group event at the Riverfront Grille. Probably best described as a dated sports bar built in some sort of converted building. It is along the river, but perhaps that's only visible from the regular dining area. The "banquet" area is pretty much a big unremarkable room with no windows.
Food was pretty good, particularly the pulled pork and corn bread. Service was very good. Walking through the rest of the facility it was the same. Large game area, bar and dining areas with TVs. Not very busy on a Saturday night, so perhaps not a huge local hangout on the weekends. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there, but if you have the right expectations it was ok.

We were looking for a place that delivered and who would have thought a bowling alley had great Strombolis. We each selected different ingredients and each one was delicious. The dipping sauce was delightful.

This was our first trip to Crossroads Cafe. My husband and I met a friend there for breakfast and good conversation. This is a "farmer cafe", most of the clientele appears to be locals, common working class folks that love to linger over food without breaking the budget.
We wanted good food that was fairly priced and time to linger long enough to have a meaningful conversation. This was a great place for all of those things. This is not fast food, nor do they hover over you hoping you will leave soon. Sit and enjoy.
Our orders were accurate. The restaurant was very busy and orders were filled in the order in which they were placed. There is one waitress.

The food is very good and prices are great. They have a large selection of food on the menu. They also have takeout. you can get a 5.95 lunch special and its a large portion of food.
