Did not eat a large meal, but ate a lot of smaller variety platters. Everything was delicious and the staff was very prompt. Visited this pub three times during my two weeks in Chernivtsy. The actual pub is constructed in what i would call an arched catacomb like structure under a building. Very well lit, very modern interior but still with a warm cozy appeal. Would highly recommend a visit to this pub!! Also be sure to ask for the wifi code if you have work you need to do online while your there!

THe place has some cool feeling. Waitress are dress typically which makes a nice atracción and gives atmosphere to the place. On the not such bright side, careful if you order food, the cream and spices are charged a part, surprisedly just the spicy salt was more expensive than the beer! As a sugestión to the place, put the prices on the menu so your next possible customer may not leave feeling a bit cheated. But any way besides that itâs ok. Ps it has parking space :) Beer is brewed there in average taste.

The little son of mother "Panska Huralnia", the oldest distilery in North Bucovina, is open in 2017 on Holovna street. Nice people, good food, european and some american steaks made Bartka one of top 3 restaurants in Chernivtsi

Looked at several places in centre for lunch and vegetarian options limited. This seemed one of the best. They were serious as initially did not bring sour cream for pancakes as said not vegan.I had potato pancakes (very good) vegan salad (with picked/grilled peppers and mushrooms) and cheese plate, which was fine. Also had two beers and total bill just over â¬10. Brunch menu also looked good with omelettes etc. Service was good. Basic lu fine bar food with a good terrace.

I have been here twice in the past few days. While the staff does not speak english, they are very accommodating. Since I need wifi for the translation app on my tablet I have made use of their free wifi twice now. Each time the waitress went out of her way to get it setup for me (password or signal issues). The second time she even moved us to a different table so the signal was better.In another user's review there was a complaint that the smoker did not help the atmosphere here. Since that earlier review, this restaurant is now a no-smoking establishment. They do have a separate room where the smokers duck into for a quick smoke break and when folks come back from there I did not notice any residual smell even though we were sitting quite close to this other group.For the second visit during the evening there was a three piece string group playing that was very nice to listen to while we were eating. The first time we were there during the afternoon and instead of the music, there was a big screen TV playing with music videos.As far as the food, we have had their sizzling chicken dish over mashed potatoes twice now as well as a very good vegetarian soup. Both have been excellent. On the second visit my lady friend ordered a slice of wonderful cheesecake as well as an irish coffee. I tried the irish coffee and discovered it was quite strong so I guess if you are a drinker it was good (I am not much of a drinker).
