Great place to have coffee. Tasty pancakes and wide choice of smoothies. Atmosphere is cozy and slightly artsy. You can see they hold literature readings sometimes.

Good variety of choice on a menu, great location in the park, excellent and courteous service (in spite of the banquet that took place, we were served quickly and politely). A nice place to have a dinner, or to spend a romantic evening (very large choice on drinks and cocktails too!)

We stayed at the AllureInn Hotel last November and really enjoyed their comfort, but had not tried the restaurant until this trip. Stopping in for afternoon coffee, water, and dessert, we were quickly seated. The waiter promptly brought us menus and took our drink orders. I ordered a Creme Brulee and she ordered a type of pudding cake. Both were fresh and well made. The restaurant is elegant and clean. Staff was polite and spoke English as we expected from our prior hotel visit. We love the city, hotel, and restaurant and look forward to another trip.

I have been here twice in the past few days. While the staff does not speak english, they are very accommodating. Since I need wifi for the translation app on my tablet I have made use of their free wifi twice now. Each time the waitress went out of her way to get it setup for me (password or signal issues). The second time she even moved us to a different table so the signal was better. In another user's review there was a complaint that the smoker did not help the atmosphere here. Since that earlier review, this restaurant is now a no-smoking establishment. They do have a separate room where the smokers duck into for a quick smoke break and when folks come back from there I did not notice any residual smell even though we were sitting quite close to this other group. For the second visit during the evening there was a three piece string group playing that was very nice to listen to while we were eating. The first time we were there during the afternoon and instead of the music, there was a big screen TV playing with music videos. As far as the food, we have had their sizzling chicken dish over mashed potatoes twice now as well as a very good vegetarian soup. Both have been excellent. On the second visit my lady friend ordered a slice of wonderful cheesecake as well as an irish coffee. I tried the irish coffee and discovered it was quite strong so I guess if you are a drinker it was good (I am not much of a drinker).

The restaurant is not as fancy as its exterior suggests, and 10 of us dining there for lunch (with some beer included) still struggled to make it to the $100 mark. In other words, like anything else in Chernivtsi, it inexpensive. We had a wide range of food, from salads and soups to dumplings to kebabs. All were terrific, as was the locally-brewed beer (a lager of sorts). There are English menus, and some staff members knew enough English to communicate with ignorant diners such as ourselves, who could not speak Ukrainian or Russian. Overall, highly recommended,

The most interesting and authentic restaurant in the center of Chernivtsi, in my experience. The food was not exactly amazing, but unique and significantly better than what you get at most of the mediocre places on Koblyanskoi. They have a varied menu, including bull testicles and fried brain as well as many Bukovinian specialities. The homestyle liqueur was also quite good. Prices are about the same as other restaurants in the area. Some of the issues mentioned in previous reviews have now been resolved. Waiters speak English, and menu prices have been updated. Note that only the main menu is available in English, not the drink list or breakfast menu.
Cozy corner in the heart of the city
