A hidden gem on Harp Hill, The Hewlett is a great modern local pub serving cooked to order food and the best of local beers. Husband and wife Paul and Emma Gibbon welcome you with a cosy and relaxed atmosphere coupled with friendly service. We hope you wi
It's been quite a while since I have visited this pub even though it's not very far from home, primarily because it only serves a limited range of real ales. It has clearly had a facelift not so long ago, so looks very smart now but perhaps a bit lacking in characterUnfortunately only one (Wickwar 'Bob', pleasant amber ale) of the three real ales was available as the other two had recently run out and the pipes were being cleaned ready for new beers. We stopped for just one pint and then moved on - maybe I'll have better luck next time.

A Beautiful Gloucestershire Country Pub with dining, with seating available in a lower dining area (suitable for wheel-chair users) or a conservatory restaurant. We also have a cosy Bar area and a rear patio, there are tables located at the front of the b
So pleased we ventured back here again to see the latest offering. Lovely setting and plenty of seating options for both groups and couples. Service was very good and swift. The food was an absolute treat, so nice to have properly home cooked food. The pulled pork just melted in your mouth and was a healthy portion size, crispy chips and crunchy coleslaw delicious. We also had the chicken Kiev with veg and again this was superb, also liked that it came with a jug of sauce on the side. Good range of drinks, nice to have decent beer available. Can't wait to go back and try more from the menu!

Nestled in the spa town of Cheltenham, The Langton is a stylish pub, bar and restaurant that will allow you to enjoy a delicious range of mouth watering dishes, in stunning surroundings. With its relaxed, comfortable setting and light, stylish feel, The L
Ate at the Langton for a workâs lunch and everyone really enjoyed their food. The menu is huge and took some deliberating. Orders came from different menus and no one had any complaints. I had the aubergine curry (wouldâve been great to have more aubergine in it to be honest) which was very tasty and filling. Also tried a slice of the Diablo pizza which was really nice. Didnât have pudding due to time constraints but I would have had one if weâd had the opportunity. Chowso, thank you for your kind review. We are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at The Langton! We are glad you enjoyed the food and hope you visit us again soon to try new additions to our winter menu.Kind regardsThe Langton team

Just outside Cheltenham, in the village of Prestbury, The Royal Oak is the closest pub to Cheltenham Racecourse. Log fires, dog-friendly snug bar and dining room with high quality pub food and excellent real ale â what more could you want? Private functio
We had a fantastic meal here on a recent trip to the Cotswolds. The Royal Oak was recommended by several of the hotel staff, who voiced that it was their favorite place to eat nearby themselves. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed seeing so many familyâs enjoy Sunday Lunch. What a wonderful tradition this is in England. Really enjoyed our visit and the hospitality.

Cheltenhamâs iconic pub situated in the well-heeled âvillageâ of Montpellier, a heart-warming city pub for lovers of real ale and great pub food. A regency building with Victorian features, high ceilings, sash windows and a proper ale house feel. A daily
First time here . Really is a pub in every sense of the word which is good. Lunch was very good with excellent vegetables. Would have received a higher rating but staff were pretty ordinary. Half clearing table between courses. Will visit again though as good pub Sunday lunchThank you for taking the time to leave us a review. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your Sunday Roast with us!I have noted your comments on the staff and we will be ensuring tables are fully cleared between courses from now on.We hope to see you again soon!Kind RegardsThe Beehive Team

The place was Empty, no food despite advertising they had a carvery , just awful - the lady apologised but AVOID I am sorry you have been disappointed with your visit. The only time we donât serve food as stated on our website is Sunday evening and yes the pub is usually quite quiet however we serve a carvery between 12 and 3 every Sunday and do over 100 covers. If you would like to have our carvery it is advisable to book early as we do get very busy.

The Old Courthouse building was designed in a âItalianate styleâ by the surveyor of County Courts, Thomas Charles Sorby and built between 1869 and 1871. We think itâs stunning and love that it still retains its courtroom, largely unaltered over the years.
Essentially a Wetherspoons, in a nicer setting. No one greeted us on arrival, which led us to wandering around both up and downstairs for our booked table. It was quite obvious to us that other customers were equally as confused after speaking to them - one couple telling us they had not seen any staff come upstairs. We found our table in the middle of the downstairs area, which was frankly more like a loud pub and not a finer dining restaurant, as the prices would imply. Food took a very long time to come out, with one dish on both the starter and main rounds coming after the rest of us were close to finishing. Two of us ordered the same main dish, however one arrived at the table as a kid's portion - we asked why and the manager quite bluntly stated that since it was ordered of the set menu, it is a smaller portion. We reiterated that the wording on both the set and main menu is exactly the same and this is unclear and his response was along the lines of 'yes, I see your point'. Even asking for mayonnaise took over 10 minutes, at which point we had nearly finished our meal. The food was okay but took so long to arrive we ran out of time for ordering desert. Overall a pretty underwhelming experience and I can not see myself returning.

We happened upon this place while staying nearby recently. From the outside it looks like a very traditional corner pub - more homely than fine dining but the menu tempted us inside. Fortunately we were fairly early so were able to get a table without booking though it soon filled up. The food was cooked to order, tasty and reasonably priced, service prompt and friendly. Would happily return.

The Royal is a charming pub and restaurant with a really warm welcome. You'll discover The Royal in the very heart of Charlton Kings, Cheltenham, overlooking the beautiful St. Mary's Church. The pub boasts a cosy, yet modern bar area with open fires and c
The Royal is a decent pub with good food and ale. Something to be wary of are uncontrolled children. We are at the Royal on Friday night, in the garden, on a warm evening. Our visit was spoilt by kids running around us and parents oblivious to it and young pub staff who were never going to address it. We will go back, but be on the look out for small uncontrolled kids!Thank you very much for your constructive review. I presume you have visited the Royal more than once in the past. You will therefore be aware that we are a family friendly pub. We try and walk a very tight line between allowing children a bit of freedom to play and children being overly loud and intrusive. Obviously during your visit you felt that it was the latter. I would like to apologise for this and the apparent lack of staff addressing the problem. We do patrol the garden as often as possible but sometimes the children do run around unexpectedly. We will continue to welcome families but you are right in saying that some parents need more reminding than others regarding their children's behaviour. Thanks again and I am glad to will continue to frequent the Royal.Kind regards,Mike Huysinga

Traditional public house with pretty rear garden. Food served lunchtimes and evenings all freshly prepared on the premises. Nothing frozen nothing fried ( except the chips on steak nights!) . Fresh Stone baked pizzas and BBQ on warm dry evenings.
What a treat! Mediterranean style Lamb or Chicken, Steaks, Halloumi. We plumped for the Lamb and it was big, baby new roast potatoes and help yourself salad bar. Kinda think my eyes were bigger than my belly as it was a struggle to finish. But worry not, the lovely staff gave us a container to take the rest home. Verdict - delighted!
