Stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed it. We ordered veal skewers and rigatoni from the menu du jour and opted for the rosè included in the price. The food was great and really well presented.
The waiter was wonderful and helped us a little with the menu although his English wasn't great (it was much better than our basic French)
We finished with icecream and crepe and found the value for money excellent

We enjoyed a pizza and salad here while listening to a duo singing jazz classics. We were lucky to get a table and would advise booking or going early in the summer as it was very popular. Right on the beach with attentive waiters and nice atmosphere.

Seafood and local produce. Fish, vegetables and meats are purchased fees directly to the auction and the market of La Rochelle. Breads, sauces, ice cream, all is made by us in our kitchen!
This was the most perfect lunch. Sautéed gambas in a bowl of delicately flavoured Thai broth, followed by a succulent and delicious fish stew. Ile de Ré white wine - so lovely - and all the tastiest accompaniments. We were served by a delightful moustachioed waiter and we gazed out at the kite surfers, feeling blessed.

Situated right on the seafront with inside and outside tables. Thus quite busy in peak season times.
We had both savoury and sweet crepes in a two course meal. Very nice indeed.
Families with children welcomed.
Would recommend for an easy place to eat with nice food.

Welcomed by the owner with a hand shake immediately made us welcome. 3 courses for 12euro consisting of Quiche followed by Carbonara and an Ile flottante. Everything tasted home cooked, even the creme anglais. The couple next to us had pizza that also looked delicious.

Ideally located, Le Grain de Sable welcomes you to the edge of the water in the restaurant and bar from Tuesday to Sunday. Master Restaurateur: The title of Maitre Restaurateur rewards excellence of the best professionals in the traditional restaurant, valuing their expertise and their commitment to quality. It is awarded by the department prefect and this is the only award given by the French State in the restaurant industry.
We visited again this year and had another really good dining experience.
Very personable waiting staff, great food and entertainment by a a young diner (aged about 2 years). once again another great sunset and everybody enjoying the moment.
the lamb was reportedly very good and my own dish (marlu) was very prepared and presented. simply a lovely night!

We had a superb dinner here tonight. The food was delicious and fresh and the service was fantastic and very friendly. We had the fresh oysters, scallops with risotto, lasagna, cassoulet and the seafood cannelloni. For dessert we had the profiteroles and the brioche cake. Every single thing we had was really good but our favorites were the fresh oysters and the scallop risotto, which were both superb. I don’t think you can go wrong here, it was great!

Very busy Saturday night even thought the town is very quiet. Lots of French families, some local and some tourists. A nice welcome, service was good and food enjoyable.

Stumbled across this place whilst walking along the Promenade out of town and popped in for some mussels and plates of prawns and great white wine. Very simple and basic but the fish was fab. We loved it. The house speciality is Oysters bit time. Worth a trip just for the experience and view of the Ocean.
