We stopped for dinner one rainy night. We were greeted by a friendly hostess. They had several specials and we chose meatloaf and chicken parmigiana. Both were above average. Price was reasonable and service great. We will be back soon!

Fresh roasted coffee, espresso and specialty drinks, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, light sandwiches, desserts
I've been going to this coffee shop for years, and the current ownership has taken something I loved and managed to make it even better with excellent quality food and coffee. The owner is very knowledgeable about coffee and has trained his staff to answer all sorts of coffee questions. Both the Mexican and the Sumatran beans are some of my favorites, and the Mexican decaf changes the minds of strong anti-decaf drinkers.

I wanted something fresh for Mom's day and was able to drop in and purchase some great pastries. They have a wide range of delicious desserts and well worth the trip. I purchased the Italian cookies, Danish pastry and a ham and cheese Stromboli.. All of the desserts were fresh, delicious and great Mother's day or any other special day. Please give this shop a try, you will not be disappointed.

This place is off the charts amazing always fresh. You'll need to make a reservation as it's a big hit locally and tough to get into on weekends. If you're not into sushi, they still have an amazing steak and seafood on the menu, even these offerings are better than most of the local choices.

Great for New England summer food.
we had the fried clams and scallops. also lobster rolls 1/4 lb. fresh and well cooked with fries. also tried the clam fritters this time and they are the real deal folks. soft and piping hot. the place was packed on good Friday of the first week opening for the 2017 season. This is a great casual place and a long time tradition for 99 percent of locals who support them year after year.
And don't forget the Robertson ice cream. note a single scoop is really a double.
loved the blackrasberry and toasted almond fudge. This week's special was blueberry pie ice cream. even my foodie mom loves this place. you must go

The Metro Bistrot is a regional French-style bistrot in southern Worcester County serving food originating from the head cook's--Marie-Paule Marthe's--southernwestern French family.
Metro Bistrot is a gem ! -The food is wonderful - using the best and freshest ingredients. -Specials reflect availability of local and seasonal products - excellent. -Atmosphere is personal - welcoming and hospitable. -The bring your own wine policy works just fine - and...MoreThank you for your kind and enthusiastic review. We enjoy having the BYOB policy and the ability to steer customers to good caches of wine in small businesses in the local area. Yours sincerely

I've lived all along both the east and west coasts, and this was the biggest and best tasting piece of fish I have EVER had. Absolutely huge piece of haddock at a great price.
Waitresses/staff was friendly, even gave us a sample of their "chowdah" to taste for if we are ever in the neighborhood again.
Fantastic food!!

A lively American bistro with a menu that encourages sharing, exploration and the celebration of food. American specialties with a unique flair on the standards.
We stopped in here while we were driving back from Boston and the Turnpike had a backup from an accident and it was about 4:15 PM on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and just pulled off in Sturbridge. We tried a few other places but came in here after looking on Yelp. So, we walked in and it was very busy, looked like every table was filled. But they got us into the bar area at a high top and we were there before the happy hour crowd. At the suggestion from Kimberly, our very helpful waitress, I had the fantastic chicken dinner with potatoes and veggies. So, so good and filling and helped me drive back to Syracuse, NY after we left. The bar seating was full and everyone seemed to be loving their drinks and food. As we were seated, more people kept coming into the dining room.

Small, out-of-the-way place with in-restaurant seating and take-out as well. We chose to eat in house. The menu is almost endless in selections of appetizers and entrees. Very reasonably priced. Everything is fresh cooked to order. They only have non-alcoholic beverages, so feel free to bring your own wine and beer or wine. Very polite, professional staff. Looking forward to our next visit.

Sturbridge Seafood is offers a variety of creatively prepared dishes from sea and land featuring the freshest seafood the area has to offer. Our menu changes almost daily to reflect what is available. From award-winning chowder to shared plates to entrees there is something for everyone. We have 14 taps of craft and American brews, over 20 wines by the glass and artisan as well as classic cocktails that change with the whim of our bar staff. We are excited to add our unique culinary perspective to the Sturbridge, MA restaurant scene!
We started by ordering some mac and cheese for the little person with us from the "kids menu". It arrived, enough to feed two adults. Piping hot and nearly raw pasta. Let's just say it was NOT a hit.
Then we three adults ordered Fish and Chips with Coleslaw. Almost an hour later (it was not very crowded} our orders arrived. Although the food looked appetizing, there was no coleslaw and we weren't willing to wait for it. The fish was quite good but the coating tasted of baking soda and it was quite greasy.
Lastly, the waitress didn't seem to have a full understanding of what was available in the kitchen and nor did she seem interested in finding out.
Although this restaurant was recommended to us sadly I can not do the same.
