Today my family and I wanted to get a lunch out of Lima city so we decided to head north, not so far, so we went to Chancay, a small town at the coast. There we went to "El Mirador" a hostel with a Peruvian restaurant, so I decided to have Chita, a delicious fish when it's fresh. Of course this was the case. Chita al Ajos is a relative easy to prepare dish, basically fried Chita with some garlic on top. This one was delicious, very tasty. The service was ok. The place was crowded, so it took them like 20m to have it ready. The local is not fancy at all, but the food it's worth it all.

In a quiet and pleasant with very good service, food is nice especially carapulcra with chancho al palo , without neglecting Pachamanca is also very good.

Delicious and generous portions at reasonable prices! Amazing Arroz con Mariscos (rice with seafood, sort of paella, but tipical Peruvian dish) you must order this dish if you want to try the best and famous Peruvian dish... better than any paella you ever tried before! Also, try the amazing Lomo Saltado with TacuTacu (Sautee tender beef, seasoned deliciously and sautee with tomatoes and onions... very juicy and amazingly tasty) and the side dish is the typical TacuTacu, a mixture of rice and beans prepared the Peruvian style... truly incredible. Don't miss their desserts... the Arroz Zambito y la Mazamorra Morada are amazing too!!!

Good place for breakfast. It is recommended to eat: chicharrones, rrelleno, tamales and patita. However, the coffee is not very good.

Aceptan tarjetas.
Tiene un horario muy amplio.

The place to eat when in Huaral. It's outside Seating, you'll get portions that fill adults, great taste (especially the Chancho al cilindro I recommend) and the prices a adequate for a somewhat remote location. Good for any size of group and also families with children.
