Just before crossing the frontier into France, we were hungry. The Hotel Suisse doesn't look imposing but was clearly popular and the food looked good. We were made very welcome by the Spanish girls who were working there and the lunch was tasty. We were even given a complimentary dessert. This was all a very pleasant surprise.

214 Is A Restaurant Serving Tapas, Menus Du Jour All Homemade, Along With An Assortment Of Interesting Wines And Local Beers
We chose this place as it was billed as a tapas bar though it offered other choices including the typical 3 course "menu" typical in French restaurants. Food was good especially the meat and cheese plate we started with. I had a veal entrée that was OK, but had not been trimmed well. We had a clearly junior waitress who struggled to get our order correct, but a woman who seemed to be an order checked with us frequently to make sure we had what we needed.

Best coffee in town, steak house, pancakes, fresh, home made and cheap food.
This small cafe provided a lunch break on a snowy day in March. A difficult manoeuvre upstairs with low ceiling provided the location for lunch. Pizza and crepes were good and some crayons and paper were provided for the toddler while we waited. In summary good food for a reasonable price but it was a squeeze.

Restaurant l'hiver situe sur les pistes de ski et restaurant/gite l'ete. Accueil de 9h30 a 16h30 l'hiver. Pour les nuitees de l'été merci de reserver à l'avance par mail ou téléphone. A bientôt
We arrived here after our longest day on the Tour du Mont Blanc and got the friendliest and warmest welcome of any of our stops. The lady who runs the place is lovely and very relaxed, and seems always happy to chat. We had lovely hot showers and some excellent beer (La Biere de Mont Blanc - try the 'rousse') and then the big surprise - dinner. On the TMB you get used to hearty food, and that was the case here, but in addition it was really excellent. We were served braised lamb with potatoes savoyard, and carrots and courgettes roasted in butter. We couldn't resist scraping the dishes clean as it was all delicious. The dormitory is divided into smaller rooms, which improves privacy but doesn't really cut down on noise. Breakfast was large, varied and relaxed. Overall this is a lovely place, and well worth making the (slight) variant from the TMB to visit it.

you must want to eat cheese. other than that it was great, nice atmosphere and really good food but it's a small place and it's quite out of the way, so book ahead.

This restaurant serves classic french food without an excessive emphasis on local specialties. We both had perfectly cooked steaks with delicately prepared veg and crispy chips. Dessert however was a disappointment, perhaps we chose badly but the crème Carmel was barely caramel and the pannacotta was average.

My wife and I called in for a light breakfast during our stay in Argentiere last week. We had coffees and pastries which were very good. Situated in a great location in the centre of the village opposite the church, it has a pleasant ambience, comfortable interior, an innovative and healthy food menu and we found the owner/staff member to be friendly and helpful. In a village where the number of eating establishments is fast declining this pleasant cafe is a welcome addition although it has been operating since 2014. Recommended.Thank you very much!
