After 3 years in Pokolbin, Owner/Head Chef Emerson Rodriguez is excited to announce the re-location of their multi-award winning restaurant 'Emerson's at Pokolbin' to Adina Vineyard. Now appropriately renamed Emerson's Cafe & Restaurant, Emerson's is locat
Emerson Rodriguez hang your head in shame! Motherâs Day lunch with only two waitresses run off their feet trying to cope with a full house. We saw three tables of customers leave without having eaten, after waiting forever to be served. We ordered drinks, starters and mains. Two beers arrived for the men, and about 15 minutes later the champagne finally made it for the ladies! Duck pate was beautiful, handmade dip was not what I would call a dip. Oil and something that could have been dukkah.Mains were underwhelming..the chicken Maryland was actually a chicken breast and wingette, some gnocchi and tomato had burnt bits that couldnât be eaten. Slow cooked duck and mushroom risotto was really a risotto with a generous serving of mushrooms that were very prominent, with little bits of something that may have been duck, or could also have been finely shredded chicken leg meat. Either way, couldnât tell. My son-in-law cooks duck beautifully, so I know what it should taste like. Didnât order desserts or coffee because we were so disappointed.

Since its opening in 2011 we have enjoyed lunch many times at this classy but casual chef's hatted eatery. There is a new team in the kitchen & they have lifted the standard of fare .... again. There is even more diversity on the menu & there has been a move back to the more generous portions that were its style in the early years. At our most recent lunch the stand out dishes were the Coorong pippies & the Ranger's Valley rostbiff & the whole roasted cauliflower.

The Store at Leaves & Fishes offers takeaway coffee and quick bites 7 days a week from 7am to 4pm.
Yesterday we visited Leaves & Fishes with friends. It was our first visit. What an absolute delight. The grounds of this establishment are magnificently presented with cottage buildings scattered about amidst beautiful gardens & water features, a large fish filled dam, wonderful Indonesian garden features, outdoor eating area, peach blossom trees and beautiful views. The main restaurant is rustic and colourful with indoor seating & featuring a large outdoor verandah overlooking the fish filled, bullrush surrounded dam. We were seated at a table overlooking the bullrushes & water...so lovely. The menu..sophisticated & reasonably priced...offered excellent seafood choices and chicken. Our table of guests thoroughly enjoyed entrees of soft shell crab and scallops plate...all fabulous & infused with Asian cooking flare. (Priced @ about $25-$28). There were entree share plates on offer too. Mains included Spiced Asian whole Snapper, Trout with Asian greens in a delicate Asian spiced broth, poached Chicken Breast & Tempura style fish fillets....we all loved our meals. By Dessert looked to be fabulous. Affogato, rich chocolate individual tart, a fine cheese plate....and more. Excellent coffee to finish. An excellent wine list featuring local HV wines is on offer. The service...warm & friendly, efficient, knowledgeable & lovely staff. We had an extraordinarily beautiful lunch. Just a 40min drive from Newcastle. We'll be back.

Attended a weekend wine lunch at Muse which was sensational. The wine was outstanding from Lakes Folly and the service was very good. Being gluten free at a large event can be a challenge but the staff seamlessly served my meals with the group on my table so there was never any waiting. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared and paired with the wines. We enjoyed the set menu for the event including seafood, chicken and steak dishes that were full of flavour and presented beautifully. Looking forward to returning to this amazing restaurant which is in a beautiful setting and the building itself is a very impressive space with very high ceilings and a beautiful fire place.

Sensational experience to tantalise all your senses. We arrived a little early, sitting by the flickering fire we relaxed, absorbing the atmosphere. The music, soft lighting, sensational food (I canât recommend this enough), great service, made it the perfect evening for our last night in the Hunter celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Note: The previous photos on trip adviser donât do this venue justice. Itâs stunning!Dear DavidnMichele, Thank you for sharing your recent dining experience at Restaurant Botanica. With a modern Australian menu, local wines and views of Windsorâs Edge vineyard, Amandaâs has been a favourite restaurant for both tourists and locals for more than two decades. Located in Pokolbin, on McDonalds Road, weâre right in the heart of the Hunte
made a decision to eat at Amandas and it was perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff welcomed us, had a drink then ordered our meals. All done with the highest degree of professionalism. Our meals, lamb rack and fillet steak, were sensational, service was quick, overall we could not fault the evening. Definitely go back there again

Just returned from a Father's Day breakfast and found the whole experience a little disappointing. The staff were friendly and attentive, although they were not sure of were orders were suppose to be delivered. The venue is very good, with a lovely outlook and very pleasant surroundings. The meals we ordered were not that spectacular considering the price we paid. Not a whole lot of flavour considering they say they source local and organic. Definitely have had much better. Coffee was good.I wouldn't recommend or return.
