I felt very unwelcome from the staff,no manners and no idea of a wine list. Bar staff arrogant and rude, but happy talking with each other. Hotel room was nice. Great bar and restaurant around the corner. Good luck. Gggggghhhgfdfhjnvfsfhjh Knbfykmnvfhk Khgghj

The Harbourmaster on the quayside in Aberaeron offers you comfort in the most idyllic of locations. This listed landmark building reopened in June 2002 after extensive renovations. We have 13 individually-designed rooms in three historic buildings - all with harbour views. In 2008 the warehouse was opened, providing a further 4 rooms. A harbour facing suite with panoramic views, two west facing sea view terrace rooms and a town view room suitable for disabled use. (lift access to these new rooms) The Restaurant and new warehouse bar specialises in fresh local produce. Come and stay for a relaxing time and watch the tides wash in and out and the sun set over the bay!
Stayed for two nights over the Jubilee weekend. The only room left was Madona in the main building - up 44 winding steps which wasn’t a problem but we would’ve appreciated the offer of help with our luggage. Bedroom was spacious in terms of floor plan but extremely limited headroom meant my 6ft husband was constantly stooping. Beautiful views over the harbour one way and the sea the other. Good quality teabags but the coffee was instant. Fresh milk provided on the ground floor (down 44 stairs and back up again) as were home cooked biscuits. So why only 3 stars? Well we found the bed uncomfortable and both woke up with back ache each morning. Also we had to move the bed more or less into the centre of the room to be able to access the side next to the sloping roof. Again not a problem, just a less than ideal layout. Issue with connecting to the Wi-Fi was quickly rectified - thank you. And now for the food! Lovely breakfasts with unusual options. Can thoroughly recommend the HB beans, egg, avocado and halloumi, while my husband said his traditional fry up was one of the best he’d ever had. We only ate at the hotel one evening but the food was equally good and it was lovely to have a Welsh cheese board having been offered French cheese for most of our trip around Wales. The waiting staff were friendly and efficient. Aberaeron itself wasn’t busy despite it being a bank holiday weekend - although it was a wet Sunday. If noise bothers you I would say the location of the hotel may not be ideal as people understandably congregate on the quay directly outside the hotel. We fell to sleep each night listening to the waves.

Next to the castle and run by a lovely chatty couple, The family has owned it for years which is probably why I could not find fault. They treat you like longlost family! Good breakfast - plenty of food.

Set in the peaceful West Wales village of Aberporth this idyllic 16th Century traditional hotel provides a tranquil and relaxing get away from the hubbub of the modern world. Originally built as a ship owner’s residence in 1820, this family run hotel is perfect for walkers, couples and families as it is located just 150 yards from two golden sand beaches. The hotel sits on a stretch of coastline in Cardigan Bay with some of the best coastal walks in Ceredigion. The Highcliffe provides an ideal base for a seaside holiday or for those touring Wales.
This is a lovely small hotel with 8 rooms located about 100 yards from the beach at Aberporth. The rooms were clean and cozy and the staff helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was great, just right to start the day. Will certainly be visiting again.

The Ship Inn is a friendly & welcoming place to stay, eat & drink. Perfect for those weekend breaks. All rooms offer amazing views of the beach which is only a stones throw from the Pub.
Filthy dirty seating, one waitress was extremely rude, poor quality food, small portions, the pub used to be amazing, clean, quality food with great service, they too were always busy but standards were always high, sadly now its owned by a brewery who clearly don't care. Some staff were attentive and polite but some let these down. Poor pub grub is how I describe the food, being busy is no excuse, Manager please make adjustments for this, customers are paying for good food and service and you are not offering this, so frankly you are certainly not giving us the experience or value for money. People have a drink on the terrace and take in the view but avoid eating here at all costs !

Moved to the area a few months ago so thought we would try this venue. Ordered duck in orange sauce and steak pie. The duck was overcooked and did not have crispy skin. The steak pie had a huge filo pastry top over some somewhat dry steak and carrots. There was no gravy and would have been too dry without so asked for gravy which the waiter kindly brought, unfortunately the gravy was rather watery.Chips seemed to be frozen chips which is ok but you kind of expect chips not to be nowadays don't you? Three pounds for half a lemonade and lime seemed a bit steep but maybe that is the going rate now. The waiter was efficient and friendly. Overall it seemed a little expensive for the quality/ standard of food.

Llwynygog is a pet friendly 3-star guest house in a lovely part of Aberystwyth, just 2 minutes' walk from the beach and the many amenities of the town centre. The railway and coach stations are just a 5-minute walk away. Shops, clubs, supermarkets, pubs and a cinema are all within walking distance All rooms have central heating, Freeview, tea/coffee facilities and wi fi access. En suite and standard rooms are available. Llwynygog welcome families, singles, couples, pets and group bookings. It is set over 2 buildings opposit each other the annex has family rooms available on request , there is parking close by .
We were told that we would stay in the annex along the road that was part of the same hotel. Not a problem but the atmosphere did not feel nice and we did not feel particularly welcome as paying customers. Breakfast was nice but I felt staff lacked professionalism. We had a room with a separate toilet, it wasn’t great walking across creaky floorboards at nighttime in my dressing gown as a young woman! Nothing wrong with the room really but the entire place felt like it needed re doing as it was the opposite of modern. Wouldn’t stay here again
