Stopped here while visiting friends. It's in a remote location, unlike the bustling crowds of the Algarve.
Very laid back, casual, and comfortable.
We were able to share a variety of dishes that catered to the region.
2 of the stand out dishes
Feijoada Buzios
Arroz Tambril
Both were spectacular, and it was nice to enjoy a meal without being rushed, while a small music festival was being held in town.

We waited a bit because August is a crowded month in the South of Portugal, but this restaurant worthed the waiting because the food was very good and well served. The prices were not very high. The waiters were very nice and the food didn't took too long to be served.
We will probably go back there if going again to Porto Covo.

I'm really struggling for words with this place. It's in a beautiful location but the food was SO basic and laughably expensive. We waited for 15 mins to be asked for our order, when we mentioned we hadn't been offered a menu yet the waitress said "oh there's no menu, we just have two dishes, chicken leg with Vietnamese sauce and codfish with egg".. ok... so we took one of each. The chicken was so basic. Two legs of chicken with a side salad drizzled with a spicy sauce. A 5 year old could've made it. The codfish was an improvement but so small we were both still pretty hungry. The desert was polenta, adequate but again hardly breaking boundaries. I then had a coffee, which was served cold. All of this came to €96. We laughed as the bill was presented. I asked to speak to the manager, Tiago, to offer some constructive feedback. Tiago couldn't have been less interested and just kept saying "ok, discount" which wasn't really the point of calling his attention. He reduced the bill by €20, which again, wasn't the point. I'm really in shock that a restaurant, in Portugal, that is charging these prices has such low levels of quality and service. Never again - stick to the many traditional and value for money restaurants you'll find in the area.

We ate here twice at both ends of an 11 day walk along the Rota Vicentina. Had the Octopus one night (plenty for two) and pork and prawns the second night. Both were outstanding. Soup, salad, and apertifs, coffee, just a charming place.

A welcoming, friendly and popular place to eat in. We started with ‘house white’ whilst choosing what to eat and it tasted good as well as being good value. Having checked that we could get crispy pizzas, two of us chose this option. Others chose pasta dishes with fish. We fared best! Nobody managed a dessert.

Friendly little pastry shop. The best pasteis de nata in Alentejo! Also their tosta mistas are huge and extra yummy. Typical Portuguese pastries. Our favourites are the natas, bolo de berlim, the massive and fluffy brioche rolls and the coconut and chocolate cake. Everything is usually all baked by 10am. Also coffee is obviously great.

Friendly team, nice view at the balcony, cozy typical environment inside. The octopus was great. We tasted several other dishes and they had the same good quality. Nice price. A place to revisit.

The menu has some interesting typical dishes but, other than that, the place is not worth the visit. The service was a mess, taking too long to answer the requests and the food taking too long to be served. Granted it seemed like they had more guests than usual and more than the number of servicers could answer in a proper time; but a restaurant must be preperad for the number of tables it has. The food is not bad but it's far from great and a bit too "oily".
