This was not our first choice and we got the recommandation from the lady who works at the gas station. We were more than satisfied with the waiters and the food.Gulashsoup was almost perfect. Fish well prepared, simple and domestic! Staffed chicken was also good.CleanParking available in frontGood value for money

If you ever go to Tihany, you have an overwhelming selection of restaurants that are purposely opened for tourists, meaning overpriced and not necesseraly great quality. The Miska Pice Csarda is operated by an elderly couple, actually the cook is the mother and waiter/front of the house is the father. So whoever wants to have a wonderful, authentic Hungarian meal please come here, it is so worth it! Delicious, friendly and off the beaten track! Recommend!

We chose this restaurant for lunch as we'd been warned off a number of other establishments in the town being advised the staff were rude. It started well enough, being shown to a nice table under a vine covered terrace. This was the end of the acceptable service. Both the waiter and waitress were very gruff and rude. We decided they may have treated us better if we spoke German and I noticed a few of the more highly rated reviews of this place have been written in German, so perhaps we were onto something there.The clincher for me, was when a pint of beer being delivered to the table was spilt in my lap. I'm not so concerned by this as it was an accident and these things happen, but it was the reaction of the waiter that really sealed the deal. He dropped from head height, his dirty cloth in my lap and muttered "sorry", under his breath. I hadn't reacted rudely when my lap was suddenly soaking wet and in fact had a bit of a chuckle to try and lighten the mood.At the end of meal, while we waited, and waited, and waited for the bill, I went to use the toilet and they wanted to charge me for this privilege! You spilt beer in my lap! The least you can do is let me try and clean up in the toilet.Goulash soup was tasty.
