Reviews on Bar food in Lilongwe, Central Region, Malawi. The quiet capital of Malawi, Lilongwe is divided into New and Old Towns. The Old Town is where to go for bustling stores, markets, cafes, hotels, and restaurants. The New Town houses embassies, international aid organizations, and corporate headquarters. A large expat population has made Lilongwe a very Western city, and a perfect stopping point for tired travelers to relax and pick up some essentials for their trip to the country’s wildlife reserves or to the beaches of Lake Malawi.

Two minutes walking from the capital sunbird hotel you`ll find the N1 Bar. Spend there two saturday nights and was a lot of fun. Outdoor place with great drinks, great music and a super nice crowd. Can really recommend that place- it is so much more fun and eventful than the boring Hotel Bar!

The restaurant is Ideally located inside Gate Way Mall. Casalinda serves excellent Indian, Chinese and continental dishes with the choicest menu of drinks at a reasonable price. The restaurant is well spaced, service is very good and the couple that owns this restaurant give personal attention to each customer. Distinctly decorated in dedication to the revolutionary artist Vincent Van Gogh, Vincentâs Restaurant offers unique culinary delights prepared by some of the best trained chefs in the city. With an open grill kitchen and inspiring décor, Vincentâs present
My wife and I had dinner at Vincentâs, one of the few restaurants in Lilongwe for fine dinning. The welcome was warm and professional and the ambiance relaxing. The mushroom soup I had for starters was superb and went very well with warm bread rolls. The spicy grilled fish I had for my main course was nicely done and combined well with the steamed veggies and mashed potatoes, and the dessert was equally delicious. The staff were all very courteous, helpful and professional. We were not disappointed with our evening out at the Vincentâs.

Ad Lib Restaurant & Lodge is situated in Area along 9 Nthunthama Drive plot Number 9/69. Ad Lib Lodge is just a few minutes away from Lilongwe Shopping malls. Ad lib lodge is not just about how beautiful the place is, but rather how comfortable one feels
Had a family dinner outing at AdLib (or Katzâs as the livery at the door front seems to suggest). Experience was good (the food and the service). However the payment system is a tad dodgy! When one swipes. The restaurants asks you to (i) sign the POS printout, after you use your PIN [not very surprising as a good number of establishments do this];(ii) provide your names, your ID and signature in a notebook [VERY odd! as I have never seen this done anywhere].The owners claim that their bank (NB) asked them to do this, as there has been a string of fraudulent payments!I vowed NEVER to go back and also to report them to their bank (NB), as long as they continue with this behavior!
