Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Lilongwe. The quiet capital of Malawi, Lilongwe is divided into New and Old Towns. The Old Town is where to go for bustling stores, markets, cafes, hotels, and restaurants. The New Town houses embassies, international aid organizations, and corporate headquarters. A large expat population has made Lilongwe a very Western city, and a perfect stopping point for tired travelers to relax and pick up some essentials for their trip to the country’s wildlife reserves or to the beaches of Lake Malawi.

Beautiful garden cafe with a Coffee & Pizza house. Sadly the last orders on Saturday is 5p.m. A kids play area to keep them entertained.
Bwino sandwiches truck sells vegetarian, vegan and meat sandwiches in a freshly baked baguette or ciabatta, fresh salads and coffee from a food truck. We are parked in the City Centre near Old Mutual building, Road Traffic, Escom and Puma Filling Station.
This is a food truck, it sits surrounded by a few tall trees in a parking lot. The sandwiches are fantastic. My husband says the coffee is good.
Nice selection of burgers, quesadillas, salads and other light meals and snacks. Many power plugs for laptops, which appears to be an invitation to come and work here, too.

Located at Lilongwe Wildlife Centre, popular place to chill after the walking tour. Have had a burger here as well as lemonade...nothing worth ordering again. Of course, friends have had very different experiences (i.e., much better reviews). This is the nature of dining in Lilongwe -- you must be adventurous!

A Fusion Cafe. Open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch 9am - 5pm. Friday/Sat 9 am - 8pm. Great food, great coffee and free wifi in a relaxed environment.
I ate here twice in the last week and loved it. Itâs a cool Internet cafe-cum-bar-music venue in the middle of a wildlife sanctuary on the outskirts of Lilongwe. Delightful staff, heat-draining smoothies, top cappuccinos and barbecued meat, including fish straight from Lake Malawi. Highly recommended.

I've been in Lilongwe for about 10 days so far, and have been to Lark at least 4 of those days. Yes, it is aimed at Westerners and the prices are higher than other places, but it is 1000% worth it. The food is creative, amazing and fresh, and the location is just wonderful. The shop has great gifts, and the cakes and bakery items are also incredible. I only wish it was open for dinner as well!Thank you so much for your wonderful review, it has made our day so happy! We love knowing that you enjoy your time at Lark and hope that it has made your arrival in Lilongwe a little easier! We look forward to welcoming you back here again soon.

Enjoyed a fabulous luncheon here. Everything was superb with great attention to detail all ingredients were fresh. Worth going out of your way. Onwer of the cafe is an artist specializing in unique wood carvings and crafts which are truly works of art. These are on display and for sale in her shop adjacent to the cafe
