We went here for the cricket. It was our first night before the masses arrived. We had very good and reasonably priced food and drink. The service was very good even though the food actually comes from the hotel upstairs. The staff were very polite and the air conditioned pub a welcome relief. So why not a 5? Well we went the following day at 8.30pm to be told the place was shut. It was actually full of others eating and drinking and so this was obvioulsy a lie. I dont think we would have been upset if they had just said it was full ( it wasnt) it was just the ' its shut' comment

I ordered a side of really spicy wings as the menu suggested it would be a challenge. Either they forgot the spice or they're wings are weak. Decent flavour, quite salty for my liking. Vegetarian pizza was decent - nothing special. Ambiance is pretty cool though

The Ozo chain, does rootop bars very well, after staying at Ozo colombo, we were looking forward to having drinks and dinner. We had the most excellent fish and chips with tartare sauce and a chicken caesar salad, washed down, with fresh juice. They did not disappoint.

The Pub feels like you are stepping back into the past. The decor is like being in the 1930's. The beer is cold the service good and the view of the busy street from the 2nd story is great. The food was ok, our order was mixed up and the food was not very hot when it did arrive. The prices are ok and the staff were friendly. Great place for a beer on a hot day.

Our Tour group took lunch here in the âQueen of Heartsâ Restaurant, allegedly named for Princess Diana. It is a splendid large old Ballroom. Located right by the main Tourist attractions - Temple of the Tooth & Royal Palace & part of the World Heritage site itself. Lunch was, as usual, buffet style and acceptable in quality & quantity.

A place of business serving beer or other alcoholic drinks and often basic meals.
This is one of the only places I know in Kandy that is keeping up with trends. They always experiment with new cocktails and pitchers and their fishbowl cocktails are bomb! Only place in Sri Lanka that I've noticed to have Korean BBQ as well. Hands down the best bar in Kandy!Thank you for this kind-hearted review. We do try to keep up with trends and provide services that is otherwise hard to find in Kandy/Sri Lanka. We greatly appreciate reviews and are grateful for the time you took to write one!

Colonial restaurant is better than the pictures. It is an interesting place with lots of history - take a walk around and enjoy the picture gallery and overall experience.Ask for a seat upstairs on the terrace - apparently more expensive than sitting down stairs in the bar with the smokers. The food is "pedestrian"; however the service and overall experience definitely make this worth a visit. We paid Rs5,000 for 2 for enough food, G&T and large beer.

We had a nice dinner at this cafe, which feels touristy and yet very welcoming. The place was full tonight around 7PM. The menu is Chinese and western and includes an impressive list of cocktails. The food was good and a small portion just enough for one serving. Friendly staff + the best view over Kandy and the lake that I've seen, as the restaurant is set a bit uphill behind the Temple. Go there after dark for a great view!
