Reviews on Asian food in Cascais, Central Portugal, Portugal. A coastal town just 20 miles west of Lisbon, Cascais was once a small fishing village, but its idyllic scenery attracted the attention of artists, writers and expelled European nobility in the 20th century. Today, it still attracts high society, but all society comes in force to enjoy the gorgeous beaches and adventure options like sailing and surfing. The Conde de Castro Guimarães Museum, a former palace, is now open to the public and displays an impressive collection of art and artifacts.

The food is very good and well prepared Japanese fusion (Japanese preparation using local ingredients with a few non-Japanese dishes). The quality is high and the cooks know what they are doing. It is expensive but all good sushi/sashimi/tempura is expensive - donât compare it to the many cheap pile-it-high and hope for the best places with untrained cooks, cheap ingredients and poor rice. Here the rice is as good as in Japan and the cooks have been carefully trained. My complaint is that the tables are far too small. Japanese food needs space to be presented elegantly. Here everything had to be crammed on a small table. Oh, and their website is down.

We went to this place with one of our Portuguese friend and the food was good. Of course one can not compare it with the Indian food in Indian restaurants but from our experience of eating in several Indian restaurants here in Lisbon, I can say that this place is worth trying and you wonât regret. However this is not the best! They are a bit costly as compared to the other nice places! Yet, we still went to Mayuara again on 1st if jan 2018.

LOVit Restaurant is located at Casa da Guia, in Cascais, has a wonderful terrace, surrounded by green garden, and a superb overview of Cascais sea.
We had an amazing foodie evening here, first we shared several great appetizers including ceviche and soft crab then took the sushi combined plate which was excellent, all in a lush summer terrace atmosphere with great view over the ocean, great service by our waiter Ian as well (they could perhaps just be a bit more relaxed in taking empty plates away, not the second you finish, but that's the Portuguese habit, and he was overall very friendly and highly efficient and fast), would strongly recommend, do make a prior reservation and ask for a table near the oceanfront barrier, early booking is better as it fills up, and order appetizers and main course at once to avoid long waits (we saw another table taking a bit long to get their main course but had ordered all at once and had no problem at all)

This restaurant looked lovely as has huge windows which are open onto the lane,so you can watch the world go by as you eat.We had complimentary popadoms and sauces. Our starters were good too. We were asked to keep our dirty cutlery though, which we found odd. Our main course was a bit tasteless though ,we had paneer Shabaka. All in all a pleasant meal though and price was good.

Aroma is a new concept in center of Cascais with a relaxing environment, where you can try the honest asian food at reasonable prices.
Two of us sauntered near this restaurant when we were accosted by a very friendly staff who informed us they served Indian food. The place was deserted since it was early afternoon but we took a chance. We ordered the dal makhani and vegetable jalfreizi along with a roti. The food was delivered quickly, portions were ample and the taste was fabulous, though a tad on the sweet side. No issues though. The staff were friendly and were willing to answer general questions and sought to know us as well. The 20% discount was a nice touch. Perfect afternoon!

Excellent restaurant. Great interaction and service from the staff who talked us through the menu and even recommended dishes for our tastes. The starters were a mix from the menu rather than set selections and the food was first-class. In summary - great service and food in an atmospheric restaurant.
