Quality and tasty restaurant, quality products and sober views of the city. Conventual sweets of excellence. A house frequented mainly by locals.
Left a concert at the nearby venue and found this as we left; there was quite a wait, which is always a good sign! The service was wonderful and the food was so delicious!

Small café that offers a variety of local dishes and friendly service. The server made few recommendations and also was accommodating in customizing dishes for some of our picky eaters. We had pasta, sausage platter, cod cake stuffed in portabella type mushroom â everything was delicious and the cod was the most interesting weâve tried so far. Very reasonably priced. The chef came out to talk to us a bit, which was nice and felt more personal.

Do book because this place is always full. Interesting modern and traditional petiscos/tapas, good wine list, warm, helpful service. There's a sister restaurant out in the Coimbra suburbs, another in Viseu, and I think still one in Costa Nova, the lovely seaside place beyond the Aveiro lagoons. Not the cheapest, but truly worth it.

Had lunch here. Simple lunch menu but taste great. The price is also very reasonable for Portuguese standard. And the waitress, Alexandre, is efficient, friendly and proactive. Definitely will return again.

Typical Tavern of Coimbra, with varied snacks as pork ear, baits of liver, codfish cakes, fried cod, sardines\mackerel, among others, and even meal service
Chose this restaurant based on these reviews. It was a short walk from our guest house and we arrived around 9pm on Saturday and were warmly greeted and given a table. The waiter is pleasant and accommodating. Food was simple and tasty. Two main courses (chicken and other was octopus), appetizers of olives and bread, one juice and one glass of red wine; total was only 21.50â¬! Canât be beat. Lovely time in Coimbra.
