Excellent place for eating out with friends or for a late night steak, they have a huge variety of tapas (chorizo, eggs, octopus, ham and cheese, etc) which you can top with either steaks or some seafood. They have all sorts of drinks to go with the food, be it beer, wine, sangria, caipirinha, mojito... Good service and a nice outdoor space help to set the mood. Oh, and there's a lovely gin selection to end the meal. ;)

This restaurant is offering a reasonable range of seafood, which can be quite expensive. But they have also some simple and standard meat dishes and a range of sandwiches on the menu, so it fits for many budgets. Wine is good and cheap, service very friendly. The only "but" here is that the restaurant is completely designated as smokers área, there is no non-smoking zone.

It is a restaurant just on the beach serving gorgeous grilled fish, most of it caught in the ocean nearby. The fish is always extremely fresh and it is on display. All the fish is excellent but the sea brass is particularly outstanding. The clams are also delicious. The quality/price ratio is excellent. The restaurant is in Praia do Pedrogão, about 35 km away from Leiria.

Seafood Restaurant.
Here's the thing: seafood is supposed to be more expensive than your average meal. However, this restaurant has the (bad) habit of charging you higher prices than other (similar) places in Leiria - perhaps to compensate the fact that it's close to empty most of the time. While the quality of the seafood is ok, when the bill comes at the end you can't help but feel you're paying too much for too little.Again, nothing terribly wrong with this place, however I tend to go there on a "last resort" when I want to have some seafood in Leiria.

Okay, we were in a hurry and we love soup! Our new twin passions: Portuguese pureed soups and pasteis de Nata.(Those yummy egg custard tartes, also known as pasteis de Belem).Yes, Gordos had both - and they had nice little fried cod cakes. A quick easy lunch with friendly staff for a day on the go. No worries that we were in a hurry. Gracious and accomodating. Thank you, Gordos!
