Things to do in Oeiras

Third time at this great nice spot in Oeiras, serving mainly Portuguese-Asian fusion, enough to have an informed opinion. Very low profile place, tucked away behind Oeiras church, not obvious to find and definitely not the type of place that shows up on Time Out (fortunately...).  The menu is extensive, which makes it difficult to choose, as everything sounds delicious. What impresses at this place is the flawless cooking. It's great and, sadly, rare elsewhere to see ingredients being treated this way. An unknown Chef who delivers meat and tuna cooked to perfection, rice fluffy and loose, crispy vegetables. No fancy sauces with loads of cream or butter, no fancy foams, emulsions or reductions, you can actually understand what comes to your table. Unapologetic flavours, not disguised or toned down to please the crowds; they are what they are, like it or not (it's difficult to dislike).  The braised tuna with ginger and red chili is wonderful, the variety with sesame seeds is to die for, I could go on and on.Value for money is adequate, one person can eat for less than â¬15, with wine and coffee; two persons or more can get a better deal.Excellent, informative, friendly service. This place is so good that could only exist outside of growingly pretentious Lisbon. I'll be coming back over and over again.

The restaurant has valet parking. The ambiance is kind of "vintage/classic" (restaurant opened in 1972).Busy restaurant with plenty of guests, also groups/families.The outstanding, old fashioned service is very customer friendly! Serviço muito atencioso! Really "a arte de bem servir"!Excellent, honest food, good taste, good servings... recommend the Cataplana de tamboril com gambas e amêijoas (fishstew with monkfish, shrimps and clams).Delicious sweet temptations (chariot de desserts), recommend ovos nevados/île flottante, gâteau de mousse au chocolat.Great choice of wine bottles.Restaurant situated in Parede which is 10 minutes from Estoril (take N6 direction Lisbon).

Etc&Tal comes from the latin et cetera wich means "and so on..." and our vision is to become a reference as place with a diversity of wines from small portuguese producers (more than 60) along with mediterranean (mostly portuguese) tapas and other interna
Great selection of "petiscos" and then a few dishes, including risotto, steak and 2 basmati-based mixes. Very friendly service (by the owners) and cosy atmosphere.Everything we had (mushroom risottos, mushroom steak, gorgonzola steak and one of the Thai-inspired basmati rices with lots of good stuff (inluding peanuts!) was very good. The "petiscos" were also very good (cogumelos à Bulhão Pato, favas com linguiça and ovos com alheira).A place to recommend...and to come back shortly

Went there last night with a couple of friends... what a nice surprise! The ambiance was very simple and nice.... Regarding the food, all the starters were very good and the meat is extraordinary. Will return soon for sure.
