A traditional Portuguese restaurant with a modern touch. A cozy and inviting environment with a beautiful historic fireplace and a small terrace to sit outside. Our chef prepares refined seafood, steaks from the grill and delicious homemade desserts.
After a long day at Sintra , Azenhas do Mar and Cabo de Roca, we stopped in for a small bite to eat and a drink before heading home. We chose to eat inside because it was quite windy. Itâs a beautiful restaurant, well appointed, very nicely arranged. Overall very attractive and inviting. We only ordered two tapas and drinks. The calamari consisted of about 7 chunks of calamari served with lemon and mayonnaise. Quite frankly, for the price (over 1 euro/piece) the calamari was a major disappointment. It was flavourless and tough, so tough in fact that my wife chewed a piece to the consistency of chewing gum and eventually spit it out. The peppers patron were attractive but uninspiring in flavour without the usual rock salt. Maybe thatâs how theyâre made in Portugal, which means the Spanish version is much more tasty. Service was attentive and pleasant. All in all though, the albeit limited food we tried was not impressive or something that would recommend returning. Sorry for your experience , we dident know the fried galamares was like that we had a problem with the supllier, and was very helpful if you told us at the moment ,we could give something else instead .We like our costumers leave the restaurant happy so we do always everything to compensate if something goes wrong . Best regards 3 Gomes

SPECIALTY: LOAF IN STONE (STEAK IN STONE)The Lavrador, stands for simplicity and comfort, a friendly atmosphere but above all welcoming. Decor with traditional motifs to fields this is a space where you can enjoy the most typical dishes of Portuguese cuis
A cosy restaurant that focuses mostly on meat. Good service and tasty food in abbundant portions. Nothing fancy but well prepared, honest food. I had grilled pork (secretos de porco), which my toddler loved as well, and a typical Portuguese dessert from the Alentejo called "sericaia", which was presented as it should be with a preserved plum ("ameixa de Elvas"). I will no doubt add this restaurant to my list of safe choices and can't wait to go back! Not very easy to park in the area.Hello, BeyondLisbonThanks for your amaizing Review!we´'re located in Sintra surrondings off the touristy area , focused on meat, proud with our STEAK ON THE STONE we serv honest food with fair prices and not fancy cusine but awsome produts quality.hope you had a remarkable Holidays!Kind Regards Mário Lavrador

Retro is cool...The old is fashion. This restaurant invites you to remember old habits, traditions, retro vintage stuff with a touch of inteligence and some boldness. This restaurant is off the batten path. Away from the center...country side.Have this in mind when you come in because, you will be sitting in old fashion chairs, surrounded by those things from you childwood (this concerns guys over 30 years old...).The food will take its time, no worries...Cleaver presentation, average seasoning...Simplicity may be a bit desarming (perhaps too much...) for example, i had rice that was literally just boiled rice and i'm not that picky...So don't expect over rated food, just enjoy the mood... One more thing; kids will have a blast in this place!!First restaurant i ever been to that had TOYS on the floor for kids to play with!!!~WELL DONE!!!
