We wondered if it was open for lunch the doors being shut and nobody sitting at the roadside outside tables. The wafting smells of cooking we detected from the neighbouring salt producing site gave us a clue and âAbertoâ on the door confirmed it. Inside it was so busy that we were lucky to get a table. The simple verbal menu âChicken?â followed by âspicy or not?â set us up for a delicious meal. The wine selection was an equally simple âred or whiteâ and it was served in a jug and was very good. Clean and friendly, super service and wonderful value in a very traditional setting.

A cada visita a Portugal eu tenho de vir aqui... Comida 5 estrelas, preÃ§o super acessÃvel, doses MUITO bem servidas... estou cheia de saudades do belo do bitoque... fiquei muito bem impressionada com a francesinha, os bolos que eu mais gosto estÃ£o sempre lÃ¡ Ã¡ minha espera e no natal hÃ¡ sempre iguarias deliciosas para levar para casa! 5estrelas!
