This restaurant was recommended to us by the front desk staff at our hotel and we were not disappointed. It's located near office parks around the Porto Salvo area of western Lisbon - I'm glad we took a cab. The three of us arrived at about 8:00pm on a Sunday evening. We were prompty greeted at the door, and shown to a table. The dining area was decorated in a modern motif, clean and neat; about 40% of the tables were occupied Our dinner consisted of a fish soup (which was delicious and a meal in itself) as the only appitizer, a perfectly cooked (medium rare) broiled beef steak, a seafood brochette (served vertically hanging from a stand) and grilled stuffed sea bass. The main dishes and the sides were all delicious and attractively presented. The portions were large; the waitstaff was attentive, friendly and helpful. I recall our waiter took the time to describe the specials of the day in detail in English and did a good job. We had dessert ( choclate cake and a flan pudding) and coffee at the end of the meal. I was pleasently surprised when I learned the tab was only 92euros, which included bottles of water and a carafe of wine. When I returned home I learned that this restaurant is one of two restaurants with the same name and from the same company doing business in the area, I highly recommend this restaurant (on Largo do Chafariz) to anyone who is in the western surburbs of Lisbon, and is looking for a quality meal served by professionals. A very pleasant place near Parque dos Poetas, a restaurant that has managed to maintain the quality over the years. For this, it contributes the careful selection of the ingredients, as well the professionalism with which they are cooked.Excellent fish and seafood, everything is fresh from the fish to the meat. Good welcome, very friendly and attentive staff, good starters, good wine list. The price is above the average for the area but correct for the service and food. Recommend.

Sometimes restaurant is not all about the food. First - the waiter told us to leave the restaurant and wait for a table outside, we were with a small baby. We had to put out name on a list to get it! We have waited for a food very Long time. Food was Ok - but Nothing exciting to Explain. Worth visited - but with No attractions

There is nothing BAD with this restaurant, but I always feel that it is slightly too expensive compared to the area. Food is always the highlight (great Cataplana) with the staff a close second.

We were recommended to come here and ate here twice during our stay in the area. We came quite late here around 10pm and the place was really busy however we were lucky to get a table. There is some seating outside. We ordered food and drinks, I order the sole which came with veg (potatoes, green beans, broccoli etc). The drinks came quite quick as well as the food. The plates were served hot and the food was brought out on a trolley which the fish was de-boned in front of us. There were gravy boat type pourers which one had melted butter in and the other garlic oil, both were really nice. The food was really good, the fish was fresh. The second time we went here it was late afternoon/ early evening which the place was more or less empty so we sat out side. We ordered food and drinks, again coming out quite quick. I had ordered sea bass this time. This time though the fish wasn't de-boned which was disappointing as we had to pick out all the bones ourselves. The fish was nice and fresh however it was unclear whether it was sea bass or grouper that I had been given as the bill showed grouper which we had to get changed but was told it was sea bass when got the dish. Overall the service is good here, the staff seem friendly. The food is fresh, it is mainly fish but there is limited meat options. There are crabs and lobsters in tanks by the door that you can pick which one to have. It isn't cheap with most dishes being about 20 Euros minimum with some dishes based on weight. It is a nice restaurant to go to if you're in the area, i would recommend it.

A typical local Portuguese restaurant, the main focus on the menu being fresh fish.The young man who served us was super helpful and tried extremely hard to speak English. Good fresh produce and nice sized portions, house wine very good.

The restaurant has valet parking.The ambiance is kind of "vintage/classic" (restaurant opened in 1972).Busy restaurant with plenty of guests, also groups/families.The outstanding, old fashioned service is very customer friendly! Serviço muito atencioso! Really "a arte de bem servir"!Excellent, honest food, good taste, good servings... recommend the Cataplana de tamboril com gambas e amêijoas (fishstew with monkfish, shrimps and clams).Delicious sweet temptations (chariot de desserts), recommend ovos nevados/île flottante, gâteau de mousse au chocolat.Great choice of wine bottles.Restaurant situated in Parede which is 10 minutes from Estoril (take N6 direction Lisbon).
