After my visit to the museum in the morning, was planning have lunch here with my family. Nice restaurant with overlooking views and friendly waiter.Buffet for starters and salads at your own choice, and two dishes prepared on each day, served by the waiter. Desert is also buffet at your choice. Waiter friendly and helpful with kids. The food is great and the place was very quiet. Found the wine list very reasonable on opposite to other reviews here.Totally recommended if visiting Seia and the bread museum.

We probably should have gone to the pizza place next door as my kids ended up ordering pizzas that they didnât like. Wide range of food and very good value.Very friendly and patient waiter who spoke about as much English as I speak Portuguese and he managed to understand my mime for sparkling water.

After a steep climb we arrived at an idyllic location near a river, a bridge and 9 small chapels: an amazing location. In a corner next to the bridge we found the tiny restaurante Margarida1.We were the first guests that night at 20.00 h end of August. A quarter of an hour later arrived another 4 people. We asked for 2 mains, wine and water. The waitress was a but pushy to advert more, but finally left us alone. The lamb was good, the bacalau (cod), floating in olive oil with boiled potatoes and a cut tomato very basic. The ambiance is like a cave, authentic, open kitchen, and decorated with local issues. The Always present television is ennoying and not essential: nobody looks at it.The price/quality is okay.

Restaurante de comida tradicional, caseira, com o menos possÃvel de sal, fritos e açúcar, privilegiando as ervas aromáticas. Pratos portugueses da região da Beira Baixa e da Serra da Estrela.
This place is deserves it. A simple pork cutlet was perfectly cooked and subtly seasoned. The rice and bean dish which acompanied in it was freshly cooked and supremely flavorsome. When I finished the side salad more was offered, which I declined. When my glass of house wine near the bottom the proprietor offered to refill it, and offer I gratefully accepted. There was no extra charge. The dining room is simply but comfortably furnished in a modern decor. Lunch was a totally enjoyable experience. Over the past few years I imagine I've been in more two dozen small Portugues cities. Covilha is not one which I am especially enjoying. However this restaurant is a real find.

Regional Restaurant, Traditional Snacks and Wines Located in the historical center of Covilha City, Taberna a Laranjinha Restaurant is a reference in the region
We go on a august warm Friday summer evening. We made reservation for 19:30 and you should do it too, as the place it's always crowded. We get a table outside which has been perfect. The service it was really fast and very friendly. We try several starters but what we really love was the Ovos rotos and the Brás of Alheira. Tasty and squisite. We select the white of the house, who isn't wonderfull but works, but we have to require an ice basket to chill it. A great experience very good ratio price/ quality.

We ordered traditional dishes feojaca (beans and pork meat) and a trout escabeche, both were very well prepared, we choose an organic red wine, good quality and good price.

We went here after a day at the H2otel Spa and it was a very nice "complement". Relaxing, small and the food was great. Typical local food, very friendly staff and good portions. If you are not too hungry, I would suggest to order 1 dish and split.Overall, very nice!

We were heading to another place but it was full. O Cortiço seem a good alternative. However the place over exceed our expectations... nice service by the owners, small but good environment and fantastic food. Specially the meats, we were told they select the veal while alive and then follow the complete path until the table... the quality is superb. And very affordable prices... worth the visit...

This is an attractive themed restaurant, based on the Roman rule in Portugal as its name describes. Decoration in the establishment and staff´s dresses are according to it. They provide traditional Portuguese dishes with a more contemporary touch. Lenda Viriato is a good place to those with a hearty appetite, in fact you risk ordering too much food if you don´t know beforehand that servings are quite abundant. The food is also good and well cooked. Varied clientele. Warm and friendly staff, with a familiar touch. Prices are medium or a bit just under that, and taking into account quality and quantity, the price-quality ratio is even better. All in all, a place to recommend.
