Whilist in Sabugueiro, which is one of the most remote and futuristic villages in the Serra da Estrela National Park, we decided to have lunch at the "O Mirante da Estrela".We had arroz de carqueja (Rice of genus), feijoada de javali (Kidney beans with wild boar) and cabrito assado (roast kid), not to mention the deserts and the good local red wine.It was a really nice meal and reasonable priced. The service was excelent and we do recommend.

Excellent cuisine, looks like home made food. Very good service. Portions are more than generous, and the prices perfectly reasonable. Very well located in the center of the city. Wonderful experience.

The restaurant is located in the middle of the woods. The food is very good and the service very friendly. The prices are amazing. Please note that one portion is enough for two people. Not tp be missed.

As we were passing by Seia, went to Espaço Ego to have lunch with a friend who suggested it. Usually, you could expect traditional portuguese food, but I was in for a suprise. The decoration was very good, giving a classic but tastefull atmosphere. The menu had salads, fish, meat, and some amazing natural juices. The dishes had some king of inovation, with fruits and very tasty food. In the outside, there was a great place to hang out and enjoy the good weather. Surely I will recommend it to everyone who wants something different in Seia, and for a really low price!

This restaurant is great... Have come more than once, and will continue to come anytime I visit anyplace around Seia.. The food is typical Portuguese with excellent quality.Staff Hospitality is superb... They are usually packed, and there is an obvious good reason for that. So if you do end up having to wait to catch a table, believe me it is well worth it.Highly recommend stopping by and enjoying an excellent meal!

After a steep climb we arrived at an idyllic location near a river, a bridge and 9 small chapels: an amazing location. In a corner next to the bridge we found the tiny restaurante Margarida1.We were the first guests that night at 20.00 h end of August. A quarter of an hour later arrived another 4 people. We asked for 2 mains, wine and water. The waitress was a but pushy to advert more, but finally left us alone. The lamb was good, the bacalau (cod), floating in olive oil with boiled potatoes and a cut tomato very basic. The ambiance is like a cave, authentic, open kitchen, and decorated with local issues. The Always present television is ennoying and not essential: nobody looks at it.The price/quality is okay.

After my visit to the museum in the morning, was planning have lunch here with my family. Nice restaurant with overlooking views and friendly waiter.Buffet for starters and salads at your own choice, and two dishes prepared on each day, served by the waiter. Desert is also buffet at your choice. Waiter friendly and helpful with kids. The food is great and the place was very quiet. Found the wine list very reasonable on opposite to other reviews here.Totally recommended if visiting Seia and the bread museum.

Not my favourite deco, but nice room, with a great mountain panoramic view. The food was excellent, everything we tried, since the appetizzers (staff suggestions) to the dishes. i'll be back, it is a sure bet!The chef will visit the room, will check with the clients in the end, something that you don't see everywhere, even in very pretensious places! Everyone was very nice.
