From the staff to the food, absolutely wonderful night, HIGHLY recommended, we tried the Kebab and the Leitao, not forgetting the Chouricos for starter, just wonderful, just a note, deserts may need to improve a bit, apart from that TOP CLASS

A friendly place at a calm location in a small city. The decoration is rustic but nice (the biggest problem is the TV noise). The food was ok, we ordered the speciality which was the veal steak on the stone for sharing (but it is supposed to be an individual dish) . We were a couple and we also ordered a soup, rice, a glass of wine, water and a desert for sharing. We paid â¬33,00, what I think expensive for the meal that we had.

You should not expect fish, many salads and various kinds of meat dishes; a great cod fish dish, huge portions; very special and homey... yes very good food and good inexpensive wine list, very busy in a large room; popular with the locals too which is always a good sign!
I ate the cod sandwich for the first time in my life...amazing! i advice everyone to have a culinaire Portuguese experience to try Tasca da Estação...the real one in Fundão city,

Fully wheelchair accessible - that immediately makes this restaurant a gem for rural Portugal. We went in their first week in business after renovations, and couldn't be more impressed. Our server, Pablo, was just fantastic. Everyone was also very tolerant of the slightly awkward 6-year old who was up past his bedtime. We had two sharer platters between 5 to start, which we cleared happily. My partner and I then had the bacalhau. One person had the mushroom risotto, one had soup and salad, and one had roast lamb. The lamb, in particular, was outstanding. For the 6-year-old, we ordered the pasta from the kid's menu, which the adults ended up finishing between them because it was so good. We also loved our desserts - a chocolate mousse, something similar to creme caramel, and a platter of miniature desserts which included an extremely sweet cake soaked in syrup, which was fab.We loved the atmosphere, and views, and the fantastic service. It's on the expensive side for Portugal, but great as a one-off treat.Thank you very much for evaluating us. We are happy to meet the expectations of the whole family. The cake soaked in syrup is the famous Portuguese dessert that gives name to our restaurant: Papo d'Anjo. Welcome always!

Although unassuming from the outside, the inside very different. Run by mother and daughter, the friendliness and quality of service was excellent; despite being family run, it was professional all the way. As for the food, it was impeccable. The soup had the comforting homemade feel and taste, my wife's pork skewer was melt in the mouth tender, and my cuttlefish just as it should be tender and not rubbery. These two ladies know how to run a business snd how to satisfy customers. We'll definitely be going back when next in the area.

The place has a decoration from rustic Portugal, the service is quick and efficient and the food is really superb. The wines & dessert are of superior quality... and price wise at a very acceptable level. Really recommend it. I suggest to book a table.

In the middle of an "Aldeia de Xisto", in Janeiro the Cima, you can find Fiado. The restaurant is a beautiful open space and the food is quite traditional and tasty. I would skip the main dish and just enjoy the starters and the dessert.Thank you very much for your kind words! We hope to see you again soon.Best regards

I love eating at restaurants outside the tourist circuit. The facilities are simple but service is excellent and food even better! I found this place just by using google maps and picking the best-rated restaurant on my way back from Barroca to Belmonte. The waiter was super helpful, explained how the dishes were made and provided us with super service. We were in a family of four and picked several different dishes and they were all delicious. The local wine recommended by the waiter was also very good. By the way, I am not a fine dining type guy. I love homemade style cooking.
