Reviews on Cafe food in Sintra, Central Portugal, Portugal. Long the home of Portugal’s monarchs, Sintra is a magnificent town of marvelous historic mansions, all set against the backdrop of lush hills. Sintra’s many castles include the Palácio Nacional de Sintra (a main abode of Portuguese royalty until the early 20th century), the hilltop and storybook Palácio da Pena, Quinta de Regaleira (incorporating several architectural styles and with gorgeous surrounding gardens), the Castelo dos Mouros (Moorish Castle), and the Palácio de Monserrate.

Throughout its history (since 1952) Celeiro Popular, it has always been a meeting point where the traditional flavors of Portugal are enhanced. Wine, craft beer, liqueurs, cheeses, sausages and other snacks can be enjoyed with pleasure

We had a great dinner here, tonight. We ordered the vegetarian,âFreshâ sandwich and the tuna salad. Both were delicious. I suggested to Louisa, the manager, that the continual flow of large buses and tuk-tuks sends a lot of noise and fumes into the café. The noise of the restaurant is somewhat reduced at the back. The windows could remain open but perhaps the large door could be closed for a better dining experience? Check out the locally made desserts in the back.

Driving past it looked inviting so we parked straight away in a convenient free parking right outside the door and were nicely surprised by the interior. The decoration is eclectic, with really nice soft music playing in the background and fantastic service. We were greeted by very nice waiters (maybe the owner) as this is a small place and loved the menu. We went mid afternoon looking for a snack, had fresh broccoli soup which was lovely, an amazing spinach salad and a bagel. Quality was superb, all ingredients of great quality and it felt like it could not be fresher (on a Sunday). Genuine friendly staff and great value for money. I would go back over and over if I was nearby.

Went here for breakfast for our last morning in sintra! Food was amazing and staff were really welcoming! The decor inside is really cute and has great artworks on the wall/quotes like 'no WiFi talk to each other' which was really nice and also sported the traditional yellow colours of sintra/Portugal!
