After five years in Nei Pori, Ayra is still my favourite place to eat. Great food with fresh ingredients ( one time I asked for chicken snitzel with white sauce- which I strongly recommend to everybody- and I was promised to have the next day when they can have the fresh mushrooms needed for the sauce. Of course they could have it cooked with mushrooms from the can bought from the nearby supermarket, that's why I really apreciate them for cooking only with fresh, not frozen or canned ingredients ). Though they have a very diverse menu, they can cook something else by your request, if not in the same day, for sure for the next day. Tasty greek-soups ( fish soup is my favourite ), THE best mousaka in Greece, don't miss their bouyourdi!!! Also delicious bifteki, not to forget loukanika ( I hope I wrote that well, it's sausages!!! ), stuffed eggplant or zuchinni with garlic sauce!!! OMG I'm so hungry all of a sudden and I miss them very much! Everything in the largest portions I ever ate in Nei Pori, with a almost ice-cold bottle of water and free desert from a very warm, kind, hard-working owner. We chose this restaurant because it was full of people (if a restaurant is crowded, the food is fresh and good). The food was very good, indeed, though the prices were higher than at the other restaurants. However, if you ordered something, it had no side dish, you needed to order it separately, and the waiters didn't bring the meals at the same time, which created a mess, because people ate on turns, and they ate the main dish, and the side dish separately, after a while. For example, we ordered grilled octopus and fish with fried potatoes and tsatsiki. They brought first one of the dishes, the grilled octopus, and tsatsiki. Then, after about 15-20 minutes, they brought the potatoes for two. After another 10-15 minutes they brought the fish. The potatoes were cold by that time, and one of us finished eating while the other was waiting. I noticed that the same thing happened at all the tables. So I wouldn't go there again, even if the food was good.

Very good original gyros with tzatziki!Fresh and my favorite at platamon.Nice chilling place at the side.Prices were 2.5 -> 2.80 each pita gyro.Medium portions of meat and potatoes at the "pitas" sandwich but you will definitely not need any salads and if you're hungry get two for 5.P.S. If you're going to get for a night drink avoid "tzatziki" sauce and go for "tyrolafteri" which is a feta based sauce or a "hungareza".Tzatziki is great but really smells except the other person had some tzatziki with you.That's my opinion!

Nice family owned restaurant with friendly service and honest food! They serve the most delicius souflaki in town! During our stay we go there often and enjoy ourselfes quite well!So glad you enjoy your visit to us. Thanks for taking the time to share. Always happy to see you again.
