The town is located 60 km south of Thessaloniki and is considered to be the financial and commercial center of the regional unit of Chalkidiki. It was built after 1922 by Greek refugees from Anatolia who wanted to give the settlement the name of their hometown (now Mudanya, Turkey), hence the addition of the word nea, which means new in Greek. Nea Moudania hosts the Department of Fisheries & Aquaculture Technology [1] of the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki. The town also features a harbor which serves as Thessaloniki's adjuvant.

Visited Gust on a Saturday evening as we fancied a break from the food at our hotel. We were massively impressed as the food was delicious and extremely cheap! The staff were very attentive and brought us an English menu so we could decide on the food. Cocktails were great as was the wine, we will definitely be popping back during our stay in the area. Truffle burger was to die for.

The waiters treat us very very good,the food is great and the servings are big,a very soft grilled octopus,wonderful grilled and fried callamari and very good prices! In the end they Even offered us a bottle of white wine as a gift!Mr.Fejjfr, thanks a lot for your good critisism. Hope to see you again soon at "Ta katsarolakia"!!

Popped in here on way out of town as couldnt find many places open without having to eat fish. Food good service quick and v friendly..normally like this when slightly out of town
