Bakmi is a traditional noodles from java. Bakmi Gareng Banyumas is so unique, because it cooked by pawon (the traditional cooking appliance with firewood) which makes different taste from other bakmi. Currently, Bakmi Gareng also available at Bakmi Gareng restaurant in Purwokerto.
We were a family of 10 people and order lots of different food. All was very tasty, especially the duck. I can really recommend this place. I will say the best restaurant in Purwokerto for sure.

Its a lil bit tricky for going here at first. But It is a signature dish of soto banyumasan. This soto offer different flavor than soto sokaraja or soto jalan bank.Better going for breakfast around 8 a.m, because it getting crowded when sun get high and sometimes runs out before lunch.Must try this soto when you are visiting purwokerto.

This is a nice open air restaurant with tasty food. Service is a bit slow and price is a bit steep but you will enjoy sitting by the pond, feeding fish. Very good place if you go with family with children.

This modern restaurant offers a lot varieties of food. Their specialty is the roast duck, according to the waiter. We ordered the roast duck 1/4 portion and it serves 2 people. Tasted delicious and crispy. We also ordered crispy tofu with mango sauce, which turned out very delicious. We also ordered kailan cah sapi (big portion!), bistik sapi (beef steak), fried ice cream and lumpia peuyeum, they were all surprisingly quite delicious. The place is quite spacious, with nice little garden in the middle. Honestly we did not expect to find such a modern restaurant in a relatively small city, however Table Nine is such a gem. Great value of money (I wouldnt say the price is cheap but it is not that expensive as well), nice location, spacious modern exterior, good service, and delicious food. Thumbs up!

I really love the traditional Javanese ambiance, there are so many plants and decorations such us "Becak", traditional bike, and "Joglo" that support the concept. There are lots of food choices, mainly traditional dishes. I really recommend their signature Durian beverages. The place is little bit pricey compare with other places but worth to try once in a while.

This restaurant has 2 outlets, one across from one another. But don't be mistaken, if you don't come early, they will run out of food. The Soto itself was good. But combining it with the sauces turned it into an awesome food.It is as authentic as any food can be and a definite must-try.
