Great service with funny and thoughtful waiters, incredible creative burgers, entertaining ambience where you can watch a live stream of the making off of your burger and vast options of great beers to quench your thirst while enjoying the experience. It is not a cheap affordable meal but it is one of those that are worth every cent of it. Amazing value cost. Never thought I would have the best burger of my life in Hungary. â

Our son (12) went here with a friend and didnât stop talking about it for a week. So we went. We live far from this part of Budapest and parking is hard to find around here, so we parked across the bridge and walked. Totally worth it! Our 5 kids (ages4-14) all loved it and so did we. Place is small and not amazingly clean. But the food is great. Lots of different burgers to pick from. Fries were really good. We all liked the Garlic dip sauce the best. We will be coming back when we can.

It was around midnight.At the end of karavan alley we noticed Las Vegans.My wife said maybe and glad we did. The creamy garlic completed the onions and mushrooms very nicely.The bun was moist and delicious as well. We also go the berry smoothie which was surprisingly not very sweet and all natural fruits. Very reasonable however.The ambiance was like eating in a food court with lotsa drunk kids around some smoking but the food was delicious

We spend a month in Budapest every year, and we love to check out the daily menus which many restaurants feature on weekdays. They are usually a good sampling of the restaurant's food at about half the price. I would have given it 1 or 2 stars for the daily menu, but I have to say that the deep dish pizzas we saw served at other tables looked like they might be very good, so I didn't want to tell people to avoid the restaurant all together, just the daily menu. The daily menu food was very mediocre - lasagna for my husband and chicken and mashed potatoes for me and the free drink they provided was watery.Thank you for sharing your experiences! Every day we work hard to give the best to all of our guests so your feedback was really helpful in improving our services. We hope you will come back to our restaurant soon for a better experience!

I was looking for a place to eat burgers in Budapest, not very far from my accommodation. I was not disappointed by this place. Very nice staff and friendly. I arrived quite early and I was set on burgers but I ended up having a turkey wrap. It was absolutely delicious. Iâm a bit disappointed I have to write this, but Smokey Monkies is definitely not the same restaurant I enjoyed a year ago. No longer good and fresh.This was a nice concept, but it someone in the management decided to make a 360 degree turn.1) Despite the fact there are (3) people upfront only one actually makes the sandwiches so during the lunch rush you thereâs a huge bottleneck. One person handles extras such as jalapeños, sides, etc and the last person is the cashier. All in all, itâs a similar style to Subway without any of the efficiency. The saddest part of this is they still havenât learned to improve this system from the beginning. The cashier has no idea what the person ordered when itâs time to pay and they need to have a small conversation with the person who prepared it every single time...2) Pulled pork was dry and tasteless this trip. Iâm guessing it wasnât prepared fresh earlier in the day since some pieces were rock hard. 3) Any sandwich with this much meat or toppings should be in a banquette or at least a harder bread - the bread it as flimsy as paper so everything falls out and you need to eat it with a fork and knife.4) Mac & Cheese is absolutely disgusting and is MICROWAVED. Even a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese (you mix water and cheddar powder) is more tasty than what they served. I understand not the everything can be prepared fresh, but that was horrible and it tasted like water. Completely tasteless and bland.Unfortunately, the Smokey Monkies I knew and recommended two years ago to others is no longer the same. Itâs really disappointing they went complex downhill.P.S - You used to get cheddar cheese on both sides of the bread, now itâs only one. Should be pretty easy: I usually ask a fillet, rare, with grilled vegetables. Most times in Hungary I receive a sort of braised fillet, and boiled or preboiled and butter pan backed vegetables. Sad. Today the miracle: the fillet was just perfect!!! Seared, and rare inside. Good veggies too. To be definitely improved the espresso. Good, kind and quick service. A big thank you! We will meet again, for sure. 5 stars when you'll improve also the coffe and go for proper mineral water, not filtered one. We arrived at this lovely restaurant freezing cold after an evening cruise on the River Danube. We received a warm welcome and a great service. We ordered a Mexican burger and Spaghetti portion. A fantastic meal and had the most amazing hot chocolate drink, so good! Highly recommend a visit.
